The formal bit I have several years’ experience as a copywriter and content marketer, backed up by a First Class degree in English Literature. I also dabble in (agonise over) creative writing, but that’s a story for another day. Before I became a full-time writer I spent 18 months in recruitment so have a particular affinity for the recruitment and HR sphere, but I’ve written across a wide range of additional topics including tech, digital, lifestyle, travel, health, SME and marketing. I’ve worked with clients across the spectrum, from big corporates to small start-ups on their way to big things, global recruitment companies through to one-man bands. I’m based in Cambridge, UK – and can never stay away from London for long – but my client base spans Singapore, Australia, the US, South Africa and plenty of Europe. I make complicated things simple and engaging for a (mostly) digital audience. I’ve helped people with many a word-related thing but my main focus has been on blogging and SEO, content strategy, social media, email marketing and web copy (B2B and B2C). Other things include press releases, internal communications, sales copy, guides, training documents, case studies, product copy and so on, and I’ve also had several years of experience editing (proofreading, copyediting and substantive). I’m based in Cambridge, UK – and can never stay away from London for long – but my client base spans Singapore, Australia, the US, South Africa and plenty of Europe. I make complicated things simple and engaging for a (mostly) digital audience.
