THE SPIRIT OF A DISTINGUISHED LINEAGE

Gustave-Julien He was the epitome of audacity and determination. We can say that it was he who invented Crémant. He undertook another initiative by bottling his wines in the slender flute bottles that are still the hallmark of Alsatian wines today.

Julien-PierreHas taken up the family’s ambition. His land ownership instinct pushed him in the right direction. He expanded the Dopff au Moulin Estate like no one before him.

Pierre-EtienneHis determination to modernize and mechanize the production for better precision and efficiency was his contribution to the family.

Grape growerwith 70 hectares, the Dopff Estate is the most important in the heart of the Grand Cru region. It extends essentially in the Riquewihr area on the south-facing hillside called Schœnenbourg (nice slope), the Riesling terroir par excellence, listed Grand Cru, but also around Hunawihr, Mittelwihr, la Hardt de Colmar and Turckheim as well.

WinemakerAll Dopff wines are vinified by us, under the responsibility of our cellar master and oenologist. Besides our own Dopff Estate vinifications, we also propose wines vinified by us from selected grapes brought by partner-grape growers.

Vintner The actual vintages need some respect, they need time to grow. You must give it time, a long-standing shared secret at Dopff’s, in particular for the making of our Crémants, in which we are pioneers, resting on slats for many years according to the different Cuvées.

BottlerThe bottling is done at the Estate. It represents the final stage as a garantee for all our customers, wherever they are, of quality and satisfactory wine conservation.
