It was a month event which was galvanized and exhilarated by the huge participation of 50 students from

SITCOE, Yadrav.

This Reinstallation gives platform for students to express themselves, explore their ideas and make the best

participation. Compete with the sharpest minds in the engineering circuit.

Activity Title :- Guru-Pournima

Summary :-

Traditionally the full moon day which in Hinduism is known as Pournima in the month of

Ashadha is celebrated by the Hindu’s as Guru Pournima. This is a big festival of the Hindu’s and

it is also known to many as Vyas Pournima. This day is generally celebrated in the veneration

remembrance of the late Sage Vyas. He is regarded as the main Guru in the Hindu Dharma

because he was the one who wrote the 4 vedas. Apart from that he also wrote the Mahabharata

and 18 Puranas. On this auspicious day of Guru Pournima the disciples offer Pujan to their Guru

or teacher to show the love and respect they have for him. They prepare special Guru Pournima

speech for this day and the celebrations are also very nice. Many people prepare poems and

many prepare special classical songs to dedicate them to their Guru.

In the modern times we see Guru in the form of a teacher who shares knowledge in the form of

education to their students. Whatever be it he serves the role of a guide who takes their disciples

to the path of righteousness and makes them good people to live in the society.

Summary :-

Activity was conducted like Guest Lecture on “Environmental Sustainability” .

Teacher’s Day is a very special occasion for everyone especially for the teachers and students. It

is celebrated by the students every year on 5th of September to honour their teachers. 5th of

September has been declared as the Teachers day in India. Our earlier President, Dr. Sarvapalli

Radhakrishnan was born on 05th of September so Teacher’s Day in India is being celebrated on

his birthday because of his love and affection towards teaching profession. He was a great

believer of education and highly famous as the scholar, diplomat, teacher and President of India.

Teacher’s day is a great occasion for celebrating and enjoying the relationship between teachers

and students. Now a day, it is celebrated with the big enthusiasm and joy in the schools, colleges,

universities and other educational institutions by both students and teachers.

Summary :-

Year 2019 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Engineers Day in India and 157th birth

anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya. It will be celebrated on 15 September,

Saturday.

Sir MV was internationally popular for his brilliance and his great achievement in

harnessing water resources in India. This is also important to know that all over the world

engineers’ day is celebrated on different dates. Engineers are the professionals who design, build

and test the construction, raw materials and process of the project; they also consider the

restrictions imposed by the regulation, feasibility, safety and cost of the project. Engineers play a

very significant role in every walk of our lives. They convert the theoretical knowledge of basic

sciences into actual products and thus make our lives easy. Engineers possess versatile minds

and help in filling the gap between science, technology and the community. Engineers in India

contribute greatly to the nation’s technological and industrial growth.
