Follow these steps:1. Doubleclick on the pie so that it opens in Illustrator.2. Select the pie using the black cursor and go to Objects/Charts/Data.�. Enter new figures, save and close.4. update the pie in InDesign and enter the appropriate numbers in the text boxes.

Tip• More than six slices makes the pie chart too complica-ted. Combine some items into ”Other”.• If the sum of all the parts is not 100, something is wrong.

If the presentation requires narrow columns for extra material such as mug shots and supporting graphics, nine sections is a good solution.

Each column of body copy becomes two sections, each of which contributes one-ninth of the space for the supporting material.

A nine-section layout is included as an internal template page in this document. The narrow column may be placed in various ways.
