RegaRding the fuRnituRe industRy in estonia
Small flexible undertakings, which have become the leading business model in the furniture industry, are also characteristic of Estonia. Instead of the previous 15 undertakings, almost 500 companies are currently operating in the furniture sector.
The goal of the Estonian state is to be as open and available in the world of business as possible. Public information channels, a transparent tax system and labour laws provide all-round support to active business. For instance, establishing your own company in Estonia takes less than 15 minutes on the internet.
Estonia has made great strides when it comes to the export of wooden furniture. More than three-fourths of output is exported, and the share is increasing. The main export articles are seats (armchairs, sofas, etc.), which make up more than two-fifths of exports in the entire sector. Currently, almost two thirds of exports go to Finland and Sweden.
Large growing stock and a thriving timber industry enables control to be maintained over the entire manufacturing chain in Estonia. Thus, there is no need to import raw material. Production of furniture refines raw material, with more and more attention being paid to product innovation.
Estonian furniture design is internationally recognised. Small producers have restored honour to centuries-old traditional wood-processing methods, local raw materials, an ecological way of thinking, and a minimalist style. It is a perfect blend of Nordic ascetic functionalism and western playful perfectionism.

Wie in Estland üblich, sind auch in der hiesigen Möbelindustrie flexible Kleinunternehmen zum Hauptgeschäftsmodell geworden. Einst nur 15 betriebe, sind heute in der Möbelbranche fast 500 Firmen tätig.
Ziel des estnischen Staates ist es, seine Geschäftswelt so offen und erreichbar wie möglich zu gestalten. öffentliche Infokanäle, ein transparentes Steuersystem und das Arbeitsrecht unterstützen eine aktive Geschäftstätigkeit allseitig. beispielsweise dauert eine unternehmensgründung in Estland via Internet weniger als 15 Minuten.
der estnische Holzmöbelexport hat große Fortschritte gemacht. Mehr als drei Viertel der Produktion wird ausgeführt, Tendenz steigend. die Hauptexportartikel sind Sitzmöbel (Sessel, Sofas usw.), die mehr als zwei Fünftel des Exports der branche ausmachen. Zurzeit gehen fast zwei drittel des Exports nach Finnland und Schweden.
Ein großer Waldbestand und eine erfolgreiche Holzindustrie ermöglichen es, die komplette Produktionskette in Estland zu realisieren. das heißt, man muss den rohstoff nicht importieren. die Möbelproduktion würdigt den rohstoff und die Produktinnovation findet immer mehr beachtung.
das estnische Möbeldesign ist international anerkannt. dank kleiner Produzenten sind jahrhundertealte traditionelle Holzverarbeitungsmethoden, lokaler rohstoff, umweltbewusste denkweise und minimalistischer Stil wieder begehrt. der nördliche asketische Funktionalismus und der westliche spielerische Perfektionismus vereinigen sich hier vollkommen.

Tarmeko LPd OÜ is a furniture manufacturing company in Estonia. The factory belongs to a group of factories, established in 1947. We export 95% of our production to more than 22 countries.
