Rea l Spa Expe r i ence In our hands-on Esthetics program, you’ll get to practice what you learn in our on-campus spa. Under the supervision of an instructor, you’ll deliver full spa services; from treatments like man-icures and massages to advanced services including microdermabrasions and galvanic facials. You’ll develop a client database, which you can take with you when you graduate, and gain essen-tial skills in customer service, marketing and merchandising

Spa EnvironmentOur spa resembles the relaxing atmosphere of a real spa. Complete with private spa rooms, massage tables, hydrotherapy tub rooms and high-end skin and body products, and the latest in skincare technology. You’ll learn the art of rejuvenation, wellness and healing, and provide full spa services at our supportive, welcoming and fun learning environment.

Volunteer / Community EventsBeauty changes lives. At MC College, students make a difference by volunteering at communi-ty events. From doing make-overs for women in need to doing esthetics services for the less fortunate, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in these events, while at the same time expanding your technical experience and networking with potential clients.

Electronic PortfolioMC College ensures students are equipped with the tools necessary to become successful in the esthetics industry. As part of the esthetics program, you will create a personalized electronic portfo-lio to showcase your knowledge, experiences, accomplishments and photographs of your creative work to clients and potential employers. From tablets to smart phones and laptops, you’ll be able to show off you skills, anywhere…anytime.

Photo ShootsFrom developing your creative concept to collaborating with hairstylists and photographers, you’ll be spearheading your own make-up photo shoots to bring your idea to life. In addition, you’ll get to build your e-portfolio and learn the skills needed for working in editorial, runway or television/theatre.

Pivot Point Training SystemAt MC College, we’re breaking the cycle of basic education by using interactive learning tools so that you can learn at your own pace. Whether English is your second language or you’re struggling to keep up at school, the Pivot Point training system will boost your learning potential and improve your confidence. how to get in 1. Contact an Admissions Advisor to set up an

information session and tour one of our campuses, either in-person or through Skype.

2. Submit the following:

• High School Transcript• Students should have a Grade 12 diploma with a

minimum of Grade 11 English, Math and Science• Career Investigation. Presented in any creative

manner. This may include slideshows, essays, videos or story boards, and include the following:• Research about wages, job availability, career

paths, and career advancements in the Esthetics industry.

• Personal reasons for choosing a career in the Esthetics industry.

• Long-term goals

Mature Student Status: In place of their High School diploma, Mature students who are 19 years of age or older may complete a GED (General Equivalency Diploma). For students who attended high school outside of Canada, completion of the school entrance exam with a passing mark of 65% may be substituted for a High School transcript.

Partial Esthetics ClassesMC College offers a variety of Partial Esthetics classes such as Make-Up Artistry, Nail Technician, Facials, Artificial Nails, Manicure/Pedicure and Lash Enhancements. Graduation

We want to kick start your career in the beauty industry with a big bang! Every year, we host two formal graduation ceremonies at each campus. Your friends, families, MC College faculty and industry partners are invited to celebrate and recognize your achievements. You’ll get to wear a cap and gown for the awards ceremony, take pictures at our photo booth, and enjoy a dinner and dance. Awards and scholarships such as academic achieve-ment, citizenship and the Frank Cairo award are handed out.

ScholarshipsCurrent full time MC College StudentsTo recognize MC College students for their dedication, creativity and hard work towards becoming successful innovators in the beauty industry, we award our students with scholar-ships that are valued between $300 and $800.

High School StudentsIf you’re a High School student with a passion for the beauty industry and are interested in attending one of our full-time programs, we have a $1000 Creative Scholarship with your name on it! On average, we award over $100,000 worth of this scholarship every year to High School students.
