In 2012, Visual Lighting Technologies debuted EssentialLEDs, offering linear and panel LED products with exceptional light quality, tremendous flexibility and highly competitive pricing. This year we’ve added a number of new options, including new profiles and lensing choices, new LED options, and new flexible and wet location products. Now, more than ever, EssentialLEDs are the go-to option for accent, task or display applications, providing specifiers with the high lumen output, high CRI, full color temperature range and imaginative fixture choices they need. And every Essen-tialLEDs fixture offers the same careful craftsmanship, customizability, and quick turnaround as before.

EssentialLEDs Interior Linear now includes 8 different extrusion shapes and sizes, in lengths up to just under 8 feet (95.28”). There’s a perfect extru-sion for any interior application, from toe kicks and wall washes to shelf and showcase displays. This year we’ve added the 4SL extrusion, offering a fully diffused line of light in a ½” width extrusion, and the 1EL, a half-elliptical shape that provides a recessed placement for the LED board and shields the diodes from side view. Our new LightRun is a specialized display fixture that uses special holographic diffuser lensing to produce an exceptionally uniform illumination, without the distraction of reflected LED diodes.

Introducing EssentialLEDs Exterior: with this catalog, EssentialLEDs ventures into wet locations with our first IP67 extrusion, the 5SLW. It offers a slender profile for delineating ledges, seat walls and other exterior features, and like our interior fixtures, is available in a full range of lengths and color temperatures.

EssentialLEDs Light Panel continues to offer the same high lumen output and broad CCT options of our linear products, in a very useful backlight-ing product. Our ELP-L Light Panel evenly backlights acrylic, glass, fabric or onyx panels in any size or shape up to 60” x 120”, and the wall-mount installation is easy using pre-drilled holes. Our ELP-G product is the perfect solution for backlighting Barrisol and other stretched-fabric ceiling products.

Finally, for those times when a flexible product is the best solution, we’ve added flexible LED products for interior or exterior applications. Our EssentialsFlex and EssentialsFlexW products use the same high-quality LEDs, in our full range of color temperatures.

As one of the world’s leading LED manufacturers, Nichia has leveraged its vast experience with phosphors to create beautiful white light LEDs in a full range of color temperatures. On the opposite page, you can learn more about the very selective LED binning we use for all our EssentialLEDs products.

With this new edition of our catalog, you’ll notice a shift away from the designation of LEDs in terms of wattage, toward a new em-phasis on lumen output. As LED advances continue to produce more light output for less energy, lumen output becomes a more informative measure for differentiating LEDs, as well as a more useful and precise standard for specifiers. As an example of this evolution in LED technology, we are now able to offer Nichia 757 LEDs as an option in all of our linear products. Like Nichia’s 157 LED, the 757 LED on our 4545 LED board is nominally “.25w”, but actually produces 30% higher lumen output; if high color rendering is your priority, 757 LEDs on our 3545 LED board deliver a 92+ CRI. As Nichia’s LEDs continue to advance, VLT will continue to make those improvements available in our EssentialLEDs products.

Per ANSI Standards, as followed by Nichia and other LED manufacturers, nominal CCT bins (i.e. “the 3500°K bin”) include LEDs in a range of actual color tem-peratures. For example, the 3500°K bin can vary by ±245°K (7 MacAdam Ellipses). VLT ‘s binning for the EssentialLEDs products is much more selective, first limiting our overall selection to four smaller bins within the ANSI color bin (3 MacAdam Ellipses, as shown in grey below). Then, on a project-by-project basis, we narrow the selection to just one of the four smaller bins, with effective binning on any given project a remarkable ±60°K*, just 2 MacAdam El-lipses. The result is exceptionally consistent light output that delivers the precise color temperature specified. (*±60°K from median CCT in each of the bins detailed)

Standard Extrusions

LENS

Lensing on a linear LED product performs a range of functions, and the best lens choice for your project depends on both the extrusion and the needs of your application. EssentialLEDs offers five lensing options: A Clear Slide-On Lens for 1S fixtures, Clear (94°), 30° Optic Lenses, Frosted (1), Medium (2), and Heavy (3) Opal Lenses. See the chart on pages 10 & 11 to see lens options for each extrusion. The information below will help you make the best lens choice for your project. There are five things to consider:

1. Protection of the LEDs: the first benefit of a lens is protection of the LEDs from dust, dirt, splashes and cleaning liquids. Adding a Slide-On Lens to the 1S extrusion will provide these benefits with minimal light loss and keep the fixture’s small profile, but because the 1S extrusion is open on the ends, the 1S fixture remains an IP20 fixture. For all other extrusions, the lens “closes” the fixture, protects the LEDs, and provides an IP54 (dry/damp) rating.

2. Softening the LED Diodes: LED diodes produce a remarkable amount of light, but when viewed directly, or in a reflection, the human eye per-ceives that point of light as glare. Additionally, the series of diodes on an LED board create a dot pattern that many find distracting and aesthetically undesirable. Depending on the extrusion used, lensing can either soften or fully eliminate both the glare and the dot pattern of the LEDs. Full diffusion is possible only with the 3SL & 4SL extrusions (see more about that below); for all other extrusions, the use of an Opal Lens (1, 2 or 3) will provide varying degrees of diffusion to “soften” the light point from the LED and reduce reflections.

3. Full Diffusion for Direct View Applications: Fully diffusing the LED diodes involves two factors - the opacity of the lens, and the distance between the lens and the diodes. 3SL and 4SL extrusions provide enough distance between the lens and the LEDs to fully diffuse; when combined with the Opal 2 or Opal 3 lenses, they can be used in direct view applications like vanity lighting or decorative lines of light. The Opal 2 option allows more light output (preferable for a vanity application), while the Opal 3 lens is more subtle for a decorative effect. See data on pages 10 & 11 for photometric comparisons. See page 3SL and 4SL pages for more info on direct view applications.

4. Light Output vs Diffusion: Anytime an Opal lens is chosen, there is a trade-off between diffusion and light output. Both the Opal 1 & Opal 2 options provide a softening of the LED diode, but also diminish light output; please see the lumen | footcandle data on pages 10 & 11 for specific photometric comparisons.

5. Light Distribution: The unlensed beam spread of an LED is 116°, but for applications such as wall-washing or grazing, EssentialLEDs offers a 30° lens to more tightly focus the light output. Refer to the photometric data on pages 10 & 11 to see how lensing will affect the fixture’s lumen output.

Any of the fixture lengths listed above is considered a “standard” length fixture. If your application requires a fixture length that differs from the lengths offered above, it would be considered a “custom” length.

“Custom” length fixtures have an overall finished length (including end caps) that is exactly as specified; because the LED boards are limited to 4” incre-ments, the LED board that is the next size down from the length specifed would be centered inside the custom length fixture.

Because LEDs have a generous field angle, it is not necessary for a fixture to extend the full length of a cabinet, shelf or display case for the area to be fully lit. Custom fixture lengths are most often used where the fixture is visible and an exact-length fixture is desired for aesthetic reasons.

The 1QL extrusion has a self-contained mounting flange that allows it to fit tightly into corners, and its 94° beam angle and wide field angle are perfect for fully lighting shelf and undercabinet spaces.

Where millwork includes a lighting valance, the 1QL fix-ture tucks neatly inside, as shown at left. If no valance is provided, the fixture’s slim, fully finished back surface ensures an attractive presentation, as shown at right and in the photo below. With black, white, silver, bronze or custom finish options, the 1QL fixture can blend in with, or accent, a wide range of cabinetry finishes.

The 1QL’s flange is scored to facilitate easy drilling; mounting holes should be drilled approximately every 20” (minimum two holes per fixture). Screws are pro-vided by others, and should be chosen according to the hole size and installation needs. The 1QL fixture can also be mounted using VHB tape.

1R and 2RL fixtures can be combined with T-Mount legs to create sleek, simple wall mount picture lights. Picture Light fixtures are available in the full range of lumen outputs, color temperatures, lensing (2RL only) and finishes. See three Fixture Width Options, right.

Set screws allow adjustment of fixture angle. Fixture stem length determines the distance between the front edge of the Picture Light and the mounting surface. Stem Length Options shown are for the MAXIMUM distance between front edge of Picture Light and mounting surface, but fixtures can be adjusted to a shorter distance if desired.

Mounting-1R & 2RL Picture Light

With Rear Access: where rear access is available, installa-tion of a wall-mount Picture Light is simple, using the nut and washer provided to secure the bushing on the back side of the mounting surface. If desired, top plate of bushing can also be attached to mounting surface using 3 screws provided.

Without Rear Access, Option 1: where rear access is not pos-sible, there are two recommended installation methods. The first option uses a pre-manufactured rough-in kit, with or with-out back box (ELL-AC-MK-PL-26 or ELL-AC-MK-RC-26, page 22). Rough-in kit provides hanger bars for positioning the mount-ing plate between studs; position and mount rough-in kit, then mark and pre-drill 3 mounting holes into the metal plate. Install drywall over mounting plate, cutting hole for bushing. Insert bushing and secure with screws that are long enough to penetrate through drywall and into mounting plate.

Without Rear Access, Option 2: mount wood block behind drywall to provide a secure anchor for mounting screws. Pre-drill 3/4” [19.05mm] hole through drywall and wood block. Insert bushing and secure with screws that are long enough to penetrate through drywall and into wood block.

Custom Fixture Configurations:The exceptional light quality, wide variety of extrusions and flexible length options make EssentialLEDs linear products an ideal component for use in custom fixture de-signs. LED linear fixtures provide great low-energy, long-lasting task lighting for kitchens and similar locations. Un-fortunately, NEC installation codes have made retro-fitting of these locations a challenge until now. Most current under cabinet options - fluorescent, xenon or halogen - run line voltage directly to the fixture, but it has not been possible to run line voltage to an LED driver outside an NEC-approved junction box.

The new HELD driver (Hybrid Electronic Linear Driver) solves this problem by including a junction box within the body of the driver itself. As long as the driver is mounted against the wall surface, it will conform with all current NEC restrictions. HELD drivers have a low profile (10.75”L x 2.25”W x 1.375”H [273mm L x 57.2mm W x 35mm]) and are easy to tuck inconspicuously in undercabinet applications. 48w and 96w units available; see page 65.

Special Mounting Options 3Sl & 4SL

Wall/Ceiling Rough-in Kits enable clean, flush installation of 3SL & 4SL extrusions into wall and ceiling surfaces, primarily for use with typical drywall surfaces and stud wall construction. Rough-in Kit is recommended for use in “direct view” applications where Opal lensing fully diffuses the LEDs and creates a solid “line of light”. Not suitable for floor or ground installation. The diagrams and photos below provide a brief overview of how Wall/Ceiling Rough-in Kits are installed.

1. Drill Extrusion: Drill mounting holes along each side of the extrusion approximately every 16” to 24”, or to conform to the structural elements in your application.

For plenum installations, wiring chaseway area of extrusion can be drilled into for connection of electrical conduit.

2. Position Mounting Clip Assembies: The Mounting Clip Assemblies hold the fixtures in place and should be spaced 16” OC, with a minimum 2 per fixture. Use set screws to lock clip assemblies in position.

3. Set Fixture Height: The #8 flat head Philips screw in each Mounting Clip Assembly sets the depth of the fixture in the mounting extrusion. The head of each screw should be adjusted to exactly 1” below top edge of extrusion.

4. Install Mounting Kit Extrusion:Attach mounting extrusion to structural stud or blocking. Extru-sion is designed for drywall to be “mudded up” to the extrusion edge, for a clean, flush finished installation.

5. Install Fixtures:Insert fixtures in mounting clip assemblies; run wiring behind fixture in chaseway provided. If desired, slight gap between fixture and ex-trusion can be sealed using clear silicone sealant.

Starter Cables have bare wires on one end to connect directly to LED driver terminals or to wires via wire nuts, and one (1) female connector for connec-tion to a linear fixture, splitter accessory, or interconnect wire.

Splitters connect multiple fixtures to a single driver; 2- way, 4-way or 8-way options; one (1) male connector, multiple female connectors.

Any of the fixture lengths listed at left is considered a “standard” length fixture. If your application requires a fixture length that differs from the lengths shown, it would be considered a “cus-tom” length.

“Custom” length fixtures have an overall finished length (in-cluding end caps) that is exactly as specified; because the LED boards are limited to 4” increments, the LED board that is the next size down from the length specifed would be centered in-side the custom length fixture.

Because LEDs have a generous field angle, it is not necessary for a fixture to extend the full length of the application area for it to be fully lit. Custom fixture lengths are most often used where the fixture is visible and an exact-length fixture is desired for aesthetic reasons.

ELP‐G is a “specialty” version of EssentialLEDs Light Panel, designed specifically for backlighting stretched fabric ceiling installations. With LEDs at a fixed 1” x 1” spacing, ELP-G has four times more LEDs than ELP‐L, yet because of its onboard regulated power supply, is able to run at half the wattage. And while the wattage is substantially lower, the light output is virtually equal. ELP‐G delivers a backlit ceiling with zero lamp imaging hot spots in a mere five inches of throw distance.ELP-G can be purchased in custom sizes or in individual modules.

ELP-L is the most popular version of EssentialLEDs Light Panel because of its versatility in customization and lower cost. It is available with .25w LEDs in three spacing options, and is a great choice for backlighting materials like acrylic or onyx. As an op-tion, ELP‐L can be made with LEDs in two different color tem-peratures, each with individual control allowing for variable color temperature mixing. ELP‐L can also be used as a gen-eral lighting source when combined with T‐Bar or suspension hardware, or as the light source in custom-designed fixtures.

Stylish and versatile stretched fabric ceilings - such as those manufactured by Barrisol and Newmat - are popular for a wide range of commercial, retail, hospitality and residential applications. EssentialLEDs 1” x 1” ELP-G Light Panel is a specialized backlighting product that was designed and engi-neered specifically to provide a superior result when backlighting these stretched fabric ceilings. Incorporation of a regulated on-board power supply on each individual ELP-G Panel allows the product to achieve the very high efficiency level of 96 lumens per watt (596 lumens per square foot*). The result is bright and even backlighting without the unattractive lamp imaging that often occurs with fluorescent light sources. (*Includes driver losses)

ELP-G offers distinct advantages over fluorescent lamp backlighting:• Cavity Depth: ELP-G requires only 5” of separation between the LED panel and the stretched fabric to attain perfect diffusion, in contrast to the 12” - 16” needed with fluorescent lamps. So even where plenum spaces are very limited, low profile ELP-G modules will provide completely diffuse light with zero lamp imaging.

• Ease of Installation: ELP-G panels screw directly to the installation surface using pre-drilled through-holes, and the range of ELP-G module sizes makes it possible to fully cover the ceiling surface - evenly and all the way to the edges - resulting in backlighting without dark spots or edges.

• Maintenance: On average, LEDs are rated to last three to four times longer than standard T8 fluorescent lamps (50,000 hours vs 15,000 hours), a difference that becomes even more significant when dealing with the complexities of a stretched fabric ceiling. When relamping is done, stretched fabric panels MUST be removed and re-installed by the manufacturer - a factor that lengthens the task, complicates scheduling, and adds significantly to the cost of lamp maintenance. And when you add the environmental issues of spent fluorescent lamps - the glass and mercury content and cost of safe (and legal) disposal, the longer lifespan of the LED alternative is even more attractive.

• Quality of Light: The small, .10w LEDs used in ELP-G provide excellent lumen output (596 lm/sq.ft., based on 3500K), with a full range of color temperatures and high CRI (87). Whether you’re lighting a warm residential interior or cool commercial spaces, ELP10 will provide the perfect CCT. And

the small light points, with their 116° beam angles, provide an exceptionally even backlight.

• Light Quality Over Time: Long before those fluorescent lamps have quit, they have color-shifted in differ-ent - and irregular - directions. Loss of mercury inside the lamp causes a shift to pink, often accompanied by black burns on the lamp ends and flickering. These issues are magnified by a stretched fabric application, where such irregularities are highly visible. In contrast, ELP-G delivers even lighting in very specific color temperatures that will remain constant over the much longer life of the product. Even as the product nears the end of its projected 50,000hr lifespan, color temperature shift will be minimal.

Notes about dimming ELP-G: In LED applications where security cameras are in operation (retail stores, office buildings, hospitality, etc.), use of Osram 0 -10v OTDIM units will result in flickering of video im-ages. For these applications, Class 1 or Class 2 Mean Well HLG Series dimming drivers (pages 66, 67 & 68) must be specified; these drivers have been tested and will not produce video flickering. Where dimming is not required, any electronic driver can be used. ELP-G CANNOT be driven using magnetic drivers!

When backlighting materials like acrylic and onyx, ELP-L is a great choice. Standard ELP-L includes an integrated diffusor and requires only 2” of cavity space for the LED diode light points to fully blend. Where cavity space is less than 2”, use of a secondary diffusor (i.e. opal acrylic) may enable full diffusion in less than 2”.

ELP-L can be made using LED modules in two different color temperatures with separate controls - an option that allows variable color temperatures from the same light panel. For example, variable-temp ELP-L can provide a “daylight” effect during the day that can be warmed at night - a great option for restaurant applications.

ELP-G Modules for DIY InstallationIf desired, ELP-G modules with 1” x 1” LED spacing can be purchased individually for mounting directly into your millwork or displays. All specifications and color temperature options apply. These versatile lighting units are offered in two versions; please carefully note the difference:

ELP-G/T modules are individually mounted onto a 5/8” substrate with a 1/4” spacing margin all around. These “LED tiles” can be butted up against each other and mounted as desired, and the 1/4” margin will maintain the even 1” x 1” spacing of the LED diodes. Modules ship with a protective cover to be removed after installation. Each module includes two 2” interconnector wires for wiring the units together; wires insert easily into terminal blocks on the LED board and do not require soldering.

ELP-G/B modules are LED BOARDS ONLY, with no spacing margin. In order to maintain the even 1” x 1” spacing of the LEDs, ELP-G/B boards must be installed with a 1/2” gap between boards on all sides. Wiring exits can be located at any place along the Light Panel’s edges, or from the back of the panel (ELP-L Only); illustration below shows common exit desig-nations. Unless otherwise specified, WE2* is the standard wire exit; please pro-vide a sketch for custom exit locations. WE1 exits will be located as close to cen-ter as possible, depending on LED Board Layout. Maximum wattage per driver is 96 watts, so larger pieces of Light Panel will often require multiple wire exits. Standard termination is 10’ [3.05m] of plenum rated 16-gauge [1.02mm2] wire, no connector ; up to 30’ [9.14m] is available as an option.

ELP-L Suspension Hardware

When larger pieces of ELP-L LED LIght Panel are used in a suspended applications, an aluminum frame provides added rigidity and support for the PVC substrate and helps to prevent bowing of the panel during installation. Aluminum framing will add a slight raised edge (1/16” [1.6mm]) around the periphery of the panel, but will not alter the height and width dimensions of the panel. Framing cannot be used to support light panel in a suspended application; cable attachments must penetrate the panel substrate.

ELP-L Aluminum Framing

LED Light Panel can be used as general overhead lighting when combined with a T-Bar system (provided by others) or suspended by a combination of specialized grips and aircraft cable. See illustration below.

For wall-mount applications, aluminum stand-offs provide a simple way to mount both the ELP-L LED Light Panel and an acrylic diffuser panel, with a fixed 2” [12.7mm] separation that allows full blending of the LED light points. Stand-off hardware is typically placed every 16” - 24” [400mm - 600mm] OC. See illustration below.

VLT offers electronic and magnetic drivers of various sizes to complete your LED lighting system. All “Non-Dimming” Electronic drivers can be dimmed with the addi-tion of a 0-10 volt dimming module (AC - PWR - DIM); electronic drivers with self-contained 0 - 10v dimming require Relay Module (AC - PWR - RLY) to reach full “off” position. Use of a low-voltage magnetic driver with your system allows it to be dimmed using a typical wall-mount lighting control system (i.e. Lutron or others). VLT offers Constant Current drivers of various sizes to complete your LED lighting system. Unlike Constant Voltage systems, in which the driver provides a fixed voltage, Constant Current LED systems provide a fixed current, and the voltage will vary depending on the LED load. The more LEDs that are attached to a Constant Current driver, the higher the output voltage will be, up to a maximum set by the driver. In systems where the number of LEDs is known, Constant Current drivers provide optimal efficiency for the system. The Constant Current drivers offered below employ a range of dimming control options; please see individual driver specifications and descriptions for more information. In some applications, such as free-standing display units, a driver with a standard wall plug may be a convenient option; you may specify this option on 30w or 50w drivers by adding “-CP” to the driver’s catalog number when you order.

Dimming & ControlsNotes on Dimming and Controls: EssentialLED products can be dimmed using any of the self-contained dimming drivers offered on the previous pag-es, OR by combining Osram’s 0-10v Dimming Module with any of our electronic drivers. All self-contained dimming drivers (marked with a red dot n ) require a Relay Module (AC - PWR - RLY) to reach full “off” position. Magnetic drivers can be dimmed using a standard magnetic low voltage wall dimmer.

Whether you choose a self-contained dimming driver, or combine a 0-10v dimming module and standard driver, you will need a device to control the dimming effect. We offer the wall-mount Lutron Diva or a Local Dimming Controller that attaches directly to the driver unit.

Terms & Conditions

1. Orders: Orders for Visual Lighting Technologies (VLT) will be accepted only with a written Purchase Order. This order shall be subject to all sales, excise and other taxes. Customer is responsible for furnishing a resale certificate. Accounting terms should be agreed upon prior to order placement. Hold for ‘‘Release” purchase orders will be required to receive submittal packages. “Hold for Release” orders are subject to a 10% cancellation fee once submittals are issued. VLT has a $100 minimum order policy. RUSH orders will be charged an additional 15% processing fee.

2. Credit: All new credit accounts must sign a completed credit application form or furnish VLT with their standard credit references. Please allow three to five business days to establish credit. Unless credit is established, a pre-payment by check or wire transfer should accompany the Purchase Order. All invoices not paid within terms will accrue late fees of 1.5% per month or a portion thereof. It is expressly understood and agreed that all warranties do not become effec-tive and are expressly contingent upon payment of all sums due and payable, including but not limited to, finance charges, transportations costs, attorneys fees, and late fees.

3. Terms: Payment terms and credit limit of approved credit customers will be determined by VLT based on business consideration, credit history, years in business, etc. VLT reserves the right to hold any orders if an account has open invoices that extend beyond payment terms or exceed approved credit limit. Standard terms are 50% Deposit and 50% on Delivery of goods. Custom orders always require a 50% deposit. New customers must provide a 50% deposit on their first order.

4. C.O.D. Orders: All C.O.D. orders may be paid by company checks if approved by VLT. A $15.00 C.O.D. fee will be added to the C.O.D. amount.

5. International Orders: All international orders must be pre-paid by wire transfer.

6. Shipping: Consult factory for current lead-time prior to order placement. All prices are F.O.B. Lake Forest, California. Collect or pre-paid and additional methods of delivery and routing shall be at the seller’s discretion. VLT reserves the right to add handling charges to any shipment. VLT does not permit “freight allowed” terms.

7. Returns: Refer to the VLT “Limited Warranty”. There is a 35% re-stocking fee on any return. Custom products, complete fiber and LED product purchases are NOT returnable.

8. Loss or Damage: All products are tested, QC reviewed, and known to be in working order before leaving VLT. All title and risk of loss pass to buyer at seller’s dock. Claims for lost or damaged products/shipments shall be made by the buyer with the transportation agent or shipping firm. Buyer must inspect equip-ment immediately upon receipt and report any damage to the appropriate party within 72 hours of receipt.

10. Prices are subject to change without notice.

11. All prices are stated in U.S. dollars.

12. VLT’s Limited Warranty is contingent upon and does not become effective until orders are fully paid. The remedy under VLT’s Limited Warranty is not avail-able to clients and/or orders where there is an outstanding balance due and/or overdue invoice. VLT’s Limited Warranty will be provided on request.

Essential LEDs 5 Year Limited Warranty

Visual Lighting Technologies (VLT) warrants its EssentialLEDs Linear and EssentialLEDs Light Panel products (not including damage to product incurred during ship-ment or transportation; see also VLT Terms and Conditions) as follows:

LED Products: VLT guarantees that all EssentialLEDs products sold by VLT will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase subject to the Warranty Terms and Conditions detailed below.

LED Drivers: VLT guarantees that all LED driver products sold by VLT will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase subject to the Warranty Terms and Conditions detailed below.

Warranty Terms: VLT shall first attempt to repair the defective product and second replace it with the same model, or its equivalent model, at no charge, excluding any shipping charges. To obtain warranty service:

1) A return authorization number (RMA#) must be obtained from VLT;2) The product must be delivered or shipped prepaid to VLT; and3) Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or invoice, indicating that the product is within the warranty period, must be sent to VLT to obtain warranty service.4) VLT shall not be liable for any incidental, direct, or indirect costs incurred in the removal or reinstallation of any product returned for repair or replacement.

Warranty Conditions: This warranty will be void if the warranted items are:

1) Used, installed and/or maintained in such a manner that is not in accordance with VLT’s specifications, recommendations, and/or procedures, including, but not limited to: a) Mishandling, such as stretching, pulling, kinking, breaking, crimping, cutting or scratching of LED; b) Any drilling of additional mounting holes or trimming of Light Panel pieces will nullify safety rating and void product warranty; c) Failure to follow installation and maintenance manuals and/or instructions provided by the manufacturer; d) Use with LED drivers other than those provided by VLT;

2) Modified or altered in any way by anyone other than VLT or VLT’s authorized agents; 3) Not made available to VLT or its authorized agent for inspection, along with all installation, maintenance and other appropriate documents, when warranty claim is made.

This warranty does not include cosmetic damage, or damage to any part of the product resulting from acts of God, accident, shipping, misuse, abuse, improper storage or connection to an improper voltage supply.

VLT is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit. Apparent or concealed damages that are incurred in transit should be reported immediately to the trans-portation carrier and an appropriate claim filed with the carrier.

Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this Warranty and are inspected when packed for return shipment.

Disclaimer of Other Warranties: This Warranty (and any repair and replacement as provided herein) is the sole and exclusive remedy of any claims relating to items purchased through VLT; and no other warranties, express or implied, are given, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. VLT shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of any express or implied warranty on this product. VLT will not be responsible for any repre-sentation, promise or expansion of this limited warranty by any dealer, sales or manufacturing representative or distributor of the products covered by this warranty. In the event that there is any statutory expansion of the provisions of the warranty expressed herein, the item will be deemed purchased on an as-is basis as to such expansion. Except as provided in this limited warranty all items are purchased in an as-is condition.
