Step 1: Triseal Oil Bath Seals, tools, new gasket, torque wrench, and dial indicator.

Step 2: Remove all corrosion, old sealant, and sharp edges, clean and inspect spindle threads.

Step 3: Remove all rust, scale and burrs from all seal related surfaces.

Step 4: Place wheel assembly flat on floor or at a 45 degree angle.

Step 5: Clean and inspect bearings, lubricate with wheel-end lubricant.

Step 6: Use each manufacturers tools on their seals only, they do not interchange.

Step 7: Use the inner bearing as a guide for tool/seal assembly.

Step 8: Use a 3-5 lb. hammer. Do not over-drive the seal. Failure will result from damage.

Step 9: Use only the same wheel-end lubricant in hub.

Step 10: Use wheel dolly only. Align hub with spindle and slide on part way. Fill hub with lubricant.

Step 11: Install adjusting nut and tighten slightly. Remove wheel dolly.

Step 12: Adjust the wheel bearing to the axle nut manufacturers specifications or to TMC recommendations.

Step 16: Sleeve must be fully installed and flush with shoulder.Return to step 6.

Step 15: Drive axle sleeve on to shoulder until the tool rebounds.

Step 14: Apply thin film of non-hardening RTV on the axle shoulder only.

Step 13: Use a hammer on the back of a severe service sleeve or face of a standard sleeve.

Assemble all required parts and installation tools.

Thoroughly prepare all surfaces that mate with seals and axle nut.

Thoroughly clean and inspect the entire hub, inside and out.

Do not install seals with wheel assembly in vertical position.

Carefully align tool/seal assembly with the inner bearing.

Drive seal into bore only until the tool rebounds and sound changes.

Lubricate the seal with the same lubricant to be used in the hub.

For installing drive axles, see tips section below.

For installing Triseal two-piece seal axle sleeves, see steps 13 to 16.

Fully install hub. Lubricate outer bearing and install.

Select correct Triseal seal installation tool driver and bearing guide.

Use of a torque wrench and dial indicator is critical.

Inspect for full installation, remove all excess RTV.

Use only Triseal axle driver and drive plate.

Remove any gouges or marring from axle shoulder with a file.

Remove old axle sleeve with ballpeen hammer. Do NOT use a chisel.

8 inches for 1 minute and repeat for the other side. Remove the axle fill plug, and add lubricant as needed. Remove the axle breather, clean in solvent. Dry with compressed air, and re-install.
