Possessive adjectives express ownership of things and people.

Por ejemplo: Es mi dinero. (It’s my money.)

Ellos son sus maestros. (Those are his teachers.)

Connecting with Prior Knowledge:

LikeLike other Spanish adjectives, possessive adjectives always agree in GENDERGENDER and sometimes NUMBER NUMBER with the noun they describe.

Use: NOUN + de + PERSON  Ejemplo: Es su abuela. 

OR

Keep in mind!

When discussing your family you may also want to use indefinite articles.

Por ejemplo:Tengo un hermano. Mi

seven years old.)

AVOID saying, “Tengo el hermano.”
