Bullying

• In response to national and state concerns about the impact of bullying on students, The 82nd Texas Legislature approved measures that require school districts to develop anti-bullying policies and interventions. It further directed the DSHS, in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), to provide an annually updated a list of best practice-based early mental health intervention and suicide prevention programs for implementation in general education settings.
