According to the latest statistics from the census offices in Erbil population at 2014 has reached 1,530,722 which present (4.8% of total population).

The population increase in Kurdistan is 3.5 percent annually.

Erbil has medium families size whith an average of six members compared whith other city.

Erbil city is facing environmental problems such as Air pollution, Noise pollution, Pollution due to

the huge increase of the numbers of vehicles and luck of green space and increase of public generators and factory which work in every edge of the city whereby the total daily emission of CO2 reached to 2813 tons .

the kurdistan territory consists of mountains, steppe, wetlands,and hills and these produced considerable Biodiversity in the place like many types of fish and birds and deer and many other types also.

According to research prepared by the university of Salahaddin- Erbil at 2009 during spring the result was

Solid waste production in Erbil city reached 400 tones.day 12002 tones. Month and 0.420 kg capita.day

Food remains forming 76% of solid waste producing followed by plastics, glass and metals with 5%, 4% and 3% respectively.

85.87% of solid wastes were potentially recyclable and 13.79% was recyclable.

The environment of erbil city has of suffered from the informal disposal of solid waste, which pollutes land, water, and air and from the flow of untreated sewage

as well as excessive consumption of subsidized water, electricity, and fuels are causing rapid attrition of the natural environment in the Region

The impacts are both direct, such as the loss and degradation of forest

habitat, and indirect – through increasingly acute climate change. My assessment of this sector is 4 of 10.

Unfortunately the Healthcare System in Kurdistan region has suffered tremendously in the last two decades due to a number of factors namely, war, and the unsettled situation.

the public hospitals are related to difficulties in securing means of transport, unavailability of medical equipment and doctors.

Public hospitals are the health facilities most used by people in case of illness of a household member (45.3%), followed by clinics and governmental health centres (19%) and primary clinics or private medical complexes (9.3%), while other facilities account for the rest .
