% Technical +escription

*++ H- selfinterference is the interference that a #)<s signal transmission induces on the #)<s signalreception /that is, uplintodownlin interference1 in a cell that operates in the *++ H- fre;uencyband. %elfinterference is restricted by the secondorder intercept point /&P31 of the #) and the narrow

duple' fre;uency separation of the *++ H- fre;uency band. &t mainly consists of intermodulation /&1interference, including &3, &6, &>, and &:, which correspond to & orders. The strength of selfinterference is determined by the #)<s transmit power and intermediate fre;uency /&F1 performance,mainly referring to the duple' fre;uency separation and nonlinear power amplifier.

& interference occurs when two or more interfering signals reach a #)<s recei"er at the same time. The fre;uencycombination of these interfering signals is close or e"en identical to the fre;uency of a wanted signal because the poweramplifier of the #) is nonlinear. !s a result, the #) cannot filter out these interfering signals, and these signals interferewith wanted signals. Different fre;uency combinations cause different & interference.

The impact of *++ H- selfinterference "aries according to the bandwidth2

  ! cell with a > H- bandwidth has a wide fre;uency separation, and therefore the impact of selfinterference caused by a narrow duple' fre;uency separation is small enough to ignore.

  ! cell with a 4+ H-, 4> H-, or 3+ H- bandwidth has a narrow fre;uency separation andtherefore selfinterference e'ists. Downlin P7=s at any positions in the spectrum may e'perienceinterference from the uplin. ?hen the #) is not tolerant of the interference, *++ H- selfinterference cancellation is re;uired.

 ! cell operating in the *++ H- fre;uency band /band 3+1 does not support a 4.@ H- or 6 H- bandwidth, according to69PP specifications.

 !ssume that a #) in a cell with a bandwidth of 3+ H- is allocated >+ P7=s for uplin transmission. &nthis case, the start position of uplin P7=s is at *68.> H- /*64 H- A 3> ' 4*+ H- B *68.> H-1.Then, the red cur"e in Figure 64 represents selfinterference.

1igure %-$ %elfinterference in the *++ H- fre;uency band

Figure 64 is only a schematic diagram because the result is obtained without the duple'er<s suppression.

*++ H- selfinterference cancellation is controlledby *'*cSwitch,*'*cSwitch/ under CellAlgoSwitch.UlSchSwitch. &f *'*cSwitch,*'*cSwitch/ isselected, the eNode= mitigates selfinterference and increases downlin capacity by limiting thenumber of allocated uplin P7=s.
