There will be exciting new activities, new friendship opportunities, top speakers, outstanding night programs with awesome music and a specially written drama—and all for the express purpose of sharing Jesus and leading kids into committed decisions to follow God. With all of this in mind, we would love to invite you to come along, bring your Pathfinder Club and be a part of the Unstoppable Camporee.

As with the previous Australian Camporees, Pathfinders are eligible to attend this Camporee if they have turned 10 by the commencement date of the Camporee— January 1, 2019. Each Pathfinder must be a registered member of a club. Children who are not Pathfinders cannot attend. This includes children of staff members.

VISION

Our vision is for the Unstoppable Australian Pathfinder Camporee to be a catalyst for the rise of a generation of young people who will;

Know Jesus personally and live passionately for Him.

Committed to Jesus and the mission, no matter the circumstance.

Rediscover their identity and calling as Seventh-day Adventists.

We will pursue our objectives in a fun-filled environment where wholesome friendships will be forged and fostered.

CAMPOREE FEES

Our Camporee Fee Schedule is designed to encourage applications and payment of fees to be made by 2 September, 2018. The fee schedule is outlined below.

EARLY BIRD (by 2 Sept, 2018)

REGULAR FEE (from 3 Sept - 1 Dec, 2018)

LATE FEE (after 2 Dec, 2018)

CAMPOREE SITE

The Unstoppable Australian Camporee will be held just out of Molesworth, Victoria, on an inviting river plain next to the Goulburn River. There are beautiful big river gums shading grassed flats, and surrounded by rolling hills and farming communities. There is a rich variety of wildlife in the area, from echidnas to wombats, kangaroos, koalas, blue-tongue lizards and kookaburras!

Molesworth was established in 1875, and sits on the banks of the Goulburn River where 6000 ML of water flows past every day! It is 90 min north-east of Melbourne Airport, making it a very accessible location for all our clubs around Australia. In January we will look forward to pleasant temperatures, with highs around 26ºC, and lows of 15ºC.

We can’t wait to welcome you to this picturesque location!

ONLINE NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ATTEND

If your club is planning to attend the Unstoppable Australian Pathfinder Camporee, you need to submit a Notice Of Intention To Attend. Please note, this is NOT an application form to attend Camporee—it is simply an indication that you plan on coming. Registration will be explained in following bulletins.

It is essential that you complete the Notice Of Intention To Attend form as the information it contains assists your Youth Directors with Camporee planning. Items such as expected numbers, will help us determine the allocation of camping areas, water supplies, number of toilets, preparation of Camporee supplies such as pins, patches, handbooks etc.

Please go to <http://www.pathfinder.org. au/camporee> to fill out the simple form and submit your club details. The deadline for Notice Of Intention to Attend submissions is 15 December, 2017.

DEADLINE 15 DEC, 2017

CAMP SITE & CAMP FURNITURE

Each club will have its own grassed area for setting up camp. The tented area will be clearly marked so be sure to stick within the boundaries allocated for your club.

We encourage clubs to use as much bushcraft knowledge as possible in their camp arrangement. Likewise, many clubs take special pride in erecting special entry-ways to their camping site. Feel free to let your imaginations fly as you consider what sort of furniture, signage or entryway you might want to create to welcome visitors to your club area.

EQUIPMENT

Each Pathfinder club is responsible to ensure that their camping equipment enables them to be self-sufficient. Further details of what to bring in regards to personal and club equipment will be supplied in future information bulletins.

FIRE & COOKING

It is necessary to emphasize that NO OPEN FIRES are permitted on the Camporee site.

All clubs will need to bring gas cookers or similar cooking facilities. In the event of a total fire ban the normal regulations will apply. We expect that gas will be available on site but it is imperative that gas bottle owners adhere strictly to the 10 year inspection regulations.

As experienced campers, we know you will take every precaution with respect to the use of gas cookers, lighting etc. More information will be provided in future information bulletins regarding your clubs’ responsibilities in the management of fire risk.

FIRST AID ATTENTION

Medical personnel including doctors and nursing staff will be on duty at the Camporee Medical Centre or will be on call at all times during the Camporee.

To assist our medical staff we would request that when you receive your application form, the medical information be completed accurately. This is vital in the event of an accident or injury.

DISTRICT DIRECTORS

As you are already aware District Directors are an integral part of the Camporee program and are keen to make it as easy for you to attend as possible. Most of your questions will be answered in the information bulletins, however, if you are a ‘first-time’ director at Camporee, you will find that your DD will be pleased to help you in getting your Pathfinders to the Camporee. Don’t be afraid to seek their assistance.

WATER

Water for cooking and drinking will be provided on site and will be obtainable from outlets in each subcamp area. We suggest you bring a trolley to enable heavy water containers to be easily transported from water collection sites to your camping area.

RUBBISH DISPOSAL

Please provide your own plastic garbage bags for rubbish. After the rubbish is bagged there will be commercial skip/bins located in sub-camps. Rubbish will be removed as necessary from the site by service vehicles.

ELECTRICITY

No electricity is available and generator noise must be kept to a minimum. Please respect your neighbours by being aware of noise and fumes from generators.

TOILETS & SHOWERS

Porta-loo toilets will be provided and regularly serviced by a commercial contractor during the course of Camporee. Disinfectant and hand washing facilities will be provided at each block of toilets. There will also be areas set aside for Pathfinders to shower via sprinklers.

TEEN FORCE

Teen Force is a team of volunteer older Pathfinders (aged 16-18) currently in a Pathfinder Club. At the Unstoppable Australian Pathfinder Camporee, Teen Force volunteers will serve as a special team assisting Camporee staff in the running of the Camporee (similar to volunteers at the Olympic Games). More information will be available in the next info bulletin, so watch this space.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Please expect further information bulletins to come out periodically, providing additional details as they come to hand. If you have questions, please contact your local Conference Youth Department.
