REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
1. Be a citizen of the country the athlete is representing
2. Be recognized by the national federation the athlete represents.
3. Must be in possession of the Global Athletes License (GAL) 2019.
4. Have a PATU COACH certification.
COMPETITION REGULATIONS
The competition regulations will be those currently established by the WT.

AGE GROUPS:
A. Cadets: 2005- 2007.
B. Junior: 2002 - 2004
C. Senior: 2001 and prior.
COACH requirements:
1. 18 years of age or older
2. Must be in possession of GAL license.
3. COACHES must be certified by PATU. (Seminar given by PATU).
4. Every Coach must have a WT Coach Permit certification. For coaches who do not have the
WT Coach Permit, a Kyorugi course and a Poomsae course will be imparted, each of which will
cost USD 120 per person. The fine for coaching without having done the Coach Permit course
will be of USD 200.
Coach attire: During the semi-finals and finals coaches are required to wear formal attire.

Equipment: The organizing committee will provide chest protectors and electronic helmets.
- Athletes must have their own electronic foot protectors for Kyorugi competition
- Athletes are responsible for having their own protections (shin guards, arm pads, mouth
guards, gloves and groin protector)
- Video replay will only be used for the adult category G1.
- The PSS DAEDO GEN II system will be used from the cadet category.
- The PSS DAEDO system:
o Cadets PSS Generation 2
o Junior PSS Gen 2.
o Senior PSS Generation 2.
Official uniform: Participants must use white taekwondo uniform (Dobok ) with a black V-neck
WT in good condition. Logos, team names, countries, and competitor's name will be allowed
according to the uniform rules established by the WT.
Only uniforms and equipment supported by the WT are allowed.

Mandatory Protective Gear
Athletes must enter the area of competition with the proper WT approved protections and
uniform. The groin protector, arm guards and shin guards must be worn underneath the
taekwondo uniform (Dobok).
No items, except for the Hijab, may be worn underneath the head protector. Any religious item
should be used under the head protector and inside the dobok and should not cause damage or
obstruction to the opponent.
Point System
Points per medal for the Adult G1 Chile Open 2019 team award will be as follows:
- Gold: 7 points
- Silver: 3 points
- Bronce: 1 point

Referees:
1. PATU will designate the number of referees required
2. The cost of flights must be paid by each international referee
3. The organizing committee will cover the cost of lodging, food and terrestrial internal
(national) transport for four nights for each referee
4. The organizing committee will provide each international referee with 100 USD for each
of the three days of competition and one of training.
Weigh-in:
The weigh-in shall be carried out according to the latest WT competition regulations
Combat times:
Adult G1 and Juniors: 3 rounds of 2 minutes each with 1 minute breaks in between rounds.
Cadets: 3 rounds of 1.5 minutes with 1 minute breaks in between rounds
(The duration of the combats is subject to change, should such changes be necessary they will be
announced during the Technical Congress by the Organizing Committee of the event)
MEDICAL SERVICES
1. The organizing committee will only provide medical care in case of emergencies, such as
an athlete being injured during the competition
2. The participants are responsible for the expenses of their own injuries and/or
hospitalization.
3. The Organizing Committee recommends participants to have health insurance and to
keep their documents at hand

the nature of the Chile Taekwondo Open and G1 tournament that will take place the 12, 13, 14,
and 15 of September of the year 2019. I declare to be in good health, and appropriate physical
conditions to compete in this event, and thus declare that if at any time of the competition I feel
the conditions are unsafe, I will immediately stop my participation in the 2019 Chile Open and G1
Taekwondo Tournament. Also, I declare to fully understand the following: Athletic activities can
involve risks, serious body injuries, including permanent disability, paralysis, and death. I
understand that these risks can be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or the
inactions of other participants in the activity. I understand that there may be other social and
economic risks and losses not known to me or not foreseeable by me at this time; I accept,
acknowledge and fully assume the responsibility, cost and damages that may be incurred as a result
of my participation or that of the minor I’m in charge of in the activity. I declare by this document,
and I hereby agree that I will not incur in suing any court (penal, civil), of the state of Chile against
the organizers of this Chile Taekwondo Open convened for 12, 13, 14, and 15 of September of the
year 2019 to the NACIONAL TAEKWONDO WT SPORTS FEDERATION, including its
representatives, official, directors, organizing committee, in general, technicians and coaches and
the relatives of each of them, all sponsors. Each of the mentioned above is relieved of responsibility,
claims, losses, or damages to my account caused or alleged to be prosecuted, with the exception
of those indicated in the Chilean law of violence in the stadiums. I have read this agreement, and
I declare to fully understand your terms, so I have proceeded to sign this document freely and
voluntarily.
As a child's parent and/or family member responsible for his or her custody, I understand that the
nature of athletic activities and declare that the minor is in good health, and in appropriate physical
conditions to participate in such activity. I agree not to sue, and hereby relieve each of the
