This guide is for installers and integrators.

Note This guide describes how to install the 3-inch and 4-inch minidome cameras with their appropriate wall mounts. More thorough installation instructions for your camera are found in the Quick Installation Guide that came with your camera.

Preparing for Installation

Check the package contents:

Before you begin, check that you have received all of the parts listed below. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact your dealer immediately.

• DC jack cable (required without PoE)

Required Tools: • Screwdriver (+, –)

• Tools for drilling

• Security Torx tool (supplied with the camera)

Removing the Camera from the Camera Housing1. Use the supplied Security Torx tool to loosen the two captive security screws on the dome

cover, then remove it from the camera. Set the cover aside.

2. Use a Phillips screwdriver (not supplied) to loosen the screw that secures the camera assembly to the camera housing.

3. Press and hold the tabs on either side of the camera assembly while pulling it from the minidome camera’s base.

4. Place the camera assembly in the product box.

Installing the Camera Base onto the Pendant Mount1. Use the pendant arm to mark holes on the mounting surface for the mounting screws.

2. Use an appropriate drill bit to drill holes for the pendant arm mounting screws. Also drill an appropriately sized hole in the mounting surface for the RJ45 cable.

3. Remove the pendant arm cover plate from the pendant arm by loosening the M3x9.5 P Head Mechanical Screw that keeps it securely in place.

4. Thread the RJ45/PoE ethernet cable through the pendant arm.

5. Use appropriate screws (not supplied) to securely fasten the pendant arm to the wall.

6. Install the pendant arm cover plate on the pendant arm. Slide the tab into the hole on the pendant arm, then lay the cover flush with the pendant arm’s surface. Use the M3x9.5 P Head Mechanical Screw to secure the cover in place.

Attaching the Pendant Mount to the Pendant Arm1. Thread the ethernet cable through the conduit entry on the pendant mount.

2. Align the pendant mount with the pendant arm, and screw the pendant mount securely into place.

Attaching the Camera Base to the Pendant Mount

Use the four supplied M4x8 machine screws to securely attach the camera base to the pendant mount.

Installing the Camera

Note (Optional) If you want to use a microSDHC card to record video clips, then insert the microSDHC card into the card slot located at the base of the camera assembly before installing the camera assembly into the camera base. Refer to the Quick Installation Guide for your camera for more information about the microSDHC card.

1. Snap the camera assembly into place. Line up the tabs on the camera assembly with the guides on the camera base that is attached to the pendant arm. Slide the camera assembly onto the camera base until the tabs lock securely in place.

2. Secure the camera assembly in place by tightening the securing screw (which was loosened in step 2 in Removing the Camera Assembly from the Camera Housing on page 2.

3. Connect the RJ45 ethernet cable to the camera assembly to access the camera for viewing video, and then adjust the minidome camera lens to a desired angle.

Note Zoom and focus can be affected by the dome cover. We recommend that you adjust the focus and zoom with the dome cover on.

Note Refer to the Quick Installation Guide that came with your camera for instructions about the other camera connections.

4. Replace the dome cover, then use the Security Torx tool to tighten the captive security screws.

Removing the Camera Assembly from the Camera Housing1. Use the supplied Security Torx tool to loosen the two captive security screws on the dome

2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw that attaches the anti-drop chain on the dome cover to the camera base. Remove the cover and set it aside.

3. Remove the turret cover from the camera assembly. Press both sides of the turret cover to release it from the camera assembly. Set it aside.

4. Use a Phillips screwdriver (not supplied) to remove the screw securing the camera assembly to the camera base.

5. Remove the camera assembly from the camera base by pressing the tabs on either side to release. See Figure 16.

6. Place the camera assembly into the product box.

Mounting the Pendant Arm to either a Wall or to a Pole

Depending on the requirements of your situation, you can mount the pendant arm to either a wall or to a pole.

Preparing the Wall for the Pendant Arm1. Use the pendant arm to mark holes on the mounting surface for the mounting screws.

2. Use an appropriate drill bit to drill holes for the pendant arm mounting screws. Also drill an appropriately sized hole in the mounting surface for the RJ45 cable.

Preparing the Pole for the Pendant Arm

To mount your 4-inch minidome camera to a pole. you will have to buy the optional pole mounting kit, Honeywell part HSWK-PM.

1. Decide where to place the pole mount on the pole. Consider the height of the equipment that you are installing.

2. Pull the RJ45 cable through the opening on the HSWK-PM pole mount.

3. Place the HSWK-PM pole mount on the pole, and secure in place with the stainless steel straps (provided).

Mounting the Pendant Arm1. Remove the pendant arm cover plate from the pendant arm by loosening the M3x9.5 P

Head Mechanical Screw that keeps it securely in place.

2. Thread the ethernet cable through the pendant arm.

3. Securely fasten the pendant arm to a mounting surface.

• Use appropriate screws (not supplied) to securely fasten the pendant arm to the wall, which you prepared in Preparing the Wall for the Pendant Arm.

OR

• Use appropriate screws, nuts, and washers (not supplied) to securely fasten the pendant arm to the pole mount, which you prepared in Preparing the Pole for the Pendant Arm.

4. Install the pendant arm cover plate on the pendant arm. Slide the tab into the hole on the pendant arm, them lay the cover flush with the pendant arm’s surface. Use the M3x9.5 P Head Mechanical Screw to secure the cover in place.

Attaching the Pendant Mount+Sunshield to the Pendant Arm1. Thread the ethernet cable through the entry in the pendant mount+sunshield.

2. Align the pendant mount+sunshield with the pendant arm, and screw the pendant mount+sunshield securely into place.

Installing the Camera

Note (Optional) If you want to use a microSDHC card to record video clips, then insert the microSDHC card into the card slot located at the base of the camera assembly before installing the camera assembly into the camera base. Refer to the Quick Installation Guide for your camera for more information about the microSDHC card.

1. Align the sides of the snap-on camera assembly with the slots on the pendant mount+sunshield, and push the camera assembly until it clicks securely into place.

2. Secure the camera assembly in place by tightening the securing screw that was loosened in step 4 in Removing the Camera Assembly from the Camera Housing on page 9.

4. Replace the camera’s turret cover. Ensure that is snaps securely into place.

5. Use a Phillips screwdriver to attach the anti-drop chain on the dome cover to the pendant mount, and then tighten the screw.

6. Align the arrow on the dome cover with the arrow on the pendant mount, then press on the dome cover until it clicks securely in place.

Note Ensure that the anti-drop chain is not in the way when replacing the dome cover.

7. Use the Security Torx tool to fasten the two security screws on the dome cover to complete the wall mount installation.
