Welcome to our Winter edition of Update

Our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting are over, but that does not stop us from continuing to

build a greater foundation for God in our lives through discipleship; transformation and multiplication.

Jesus told a story of the wise and foolish builders in Matthew chapter 7.

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26

But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house,

and it fell with a great crash.

Jesus speaks for 3 chapters before he makes this statement. He gives us a huge amount of life detail to set a strong foundation.

Imagine planning your dream house, only to build it and find that the tradies built the wrong plan. Thats not how I wanted it. Its not what I saw,

or dreamed of etc. Sometimes our lives can be like that.

Imagine our faithful BIG W workers sneaking into the store after hours and changing all the price tags.

Bikes $1.50, chewing gum $150.00, newspapers $15.00 etc. Mass pandemonium the next day.

Our lives can be like that. We can place great value on the footy and

a lesser price tag on our children.

We put a big price tag on a Boys night out, rather than a date night with our wife.

Decisions determine our destiny, daily!

Lets stand together.

Put a stake in the ground, like Joshua did when he announced, As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord (Josh. 24:15).

Love you church, you are truly beautiful (In a manly sort of way as well)

Paul Parry says that One of Epicentres core values is Nurturing, and we aim to grow this area of our Church in 2014.

Pastors Paul and Kerry Parry are gathering a small, dedicated team of people who will provide prayer support for our church and community. You can advise the team of any prayer needs and requests. We would also like to hear any praise points you want to share, and these can be sent

CORE CHRISTIANITY

Core Christianity is a five week course for those that are curious about Christianity, are just starting out,

or have been around church for years but would like to review the fundamentals of what we believe as Christians.

Over the five weeks we go back to the foundations and cover topics

such as what it means to become a Christian, what it means for my life, why do Christians do that....?, what I do now?, and ends with a practical night where

we talk about and experience the Holy Spirit.

The course usually runs with a maximum of 3-4 people to make sure we have time for everyone to ask their questions

and discuss the answers; however we have also run the course with individuals. Likewise, the course normally runs

on a Monday night but can be changed if required.

Courses run continually so if you are interested or know someone who might be interested wed love to catch up and work out a date for you.

as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another

- and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

ARENA YOUTH MINISTRY

Arena runs a youth program that encourages and empowers young people to make positive life

choices and navigate effectively through adolescence into adulthood.

Our goal is to build up and encourage as many

youth as possible, to step out of the normal and to do something amazing with their lives.

To help other people, and to be happy doing so.

Our weekly Friday night program, for the ages of year 6-12, provides youth opportunities to be

involved in and help run Tribal Wars (team based games), Motivational Speaking, Our Church Music

Band, Social Time, Event Management, Sound Teching, MCing, Video Production, Marketing and

more. Every second week the program has a Christian focus for our youth to learn how they

can live as a Christian in everyday life.

Other areas for involvement include the Annual Beach and Snow camps,

link groups to build weekly support and connections with others,

Planetshakers conference, Axis Dance Ministry, Leadership training

and Community Involvement and Traineeships.

Axis Dance Ministry is part of the creative branch of Epicentre Church. Axis aims to provide an

atmosphere where creativity is encouraged and explored by all who get involved in the group.

This is explored through dance and drama. Anyone over the age of 12 years is encouraged to be a part of Axis Dance Ministry: to be one of many who take the opportunity to minister and empower through

performance at local community events and church services.

Axis meets every Tuesday 4:30-6pm at the

Epicentre Church building, Corner Bowen and Service Sts, Echuca. We welcome you to come along

and experience what makes us the dynamic group we are. For more details please contact

AXIS DANCE MINISTRY

Rob Wiltshire is leading a new group for people who are keen to learn more about prophesy

and how to develop that gifting. Rob explains how we all have the spiritual

availability to hear Gods voice and see Gods visions. He shares his vision for our church to

prophesy over others as we tune in to the word of God.

When we are tuned into Our Father, this helps us to pray effectively for others, and when we are hearing

the voice of God, we have vision and desire to bring those gifts and

the word of God to our greater community.

The group has been gaining new insights into the spiritual gifts God has given each of us, and how we can best use them to further the work of Jesus in our

We are a Creative church and our services include Worship Music performed by our live

Church Band, Live Art by great artists, Dance Performances from Axis Dance Ministry

and many Audio-Visual presentations.

Creative people, its time to volunteer and get involved in our worship team for God has infused

us with creative gifts to put to good use.

Find out how being a part of the creative teams can help to encourage

and inspire you to develop further your gifts, and all in the pursuit of worshipping God and helping bring an atmosphere to the

greater community to feel Gods presence during our Services and other performances.

MMA FAMILY LIFE

We see a community healed and restored, full of hope and freedom.

We focus on the family unit, however that may look to you, and we help people in our community through educational

workshops, group learning and one to one conversations in a friendly environment of love and compassion.

John and Jenny Le Clerc have extensive experience in ministering to families about how best to manage living a Christian life as a family unit, and work through lifes ups and downs together.

They spent the most part of ten years travelling throughout Africa,

teaching and ministering to families about God, and we are fortunate that we have access to their wealth of knowledge

and experience to learn from and gain practical advice to help make our families work at an optimal level.

John and Jenny will be dedicating much time to

personally visit each link group over the next months, and create personalised sessions on topics of each links choosing.

Some of these areas may include Foundations to a Healthy Family, Communication and Conflict Resolution, Youth Issues and bringing Practical Advice to help our everyday lives feel more manageable.

In addition to the links series, John and Jenny will also present a variety of seminars for anyone to attend that will be run over a few weeks.

Epic kids is entering into a season like never before.

Epic kids is focused on building greater excellence

and fun into the weekly Sunday program offered through Epicentre Church.

We believe that Jesus is the funnest kid

on the playground and wants everyone to come play and learn how to have the

best time on the monkey bars, swings, and slides.

Just like Jesus we are teaching our kids how to enjoy their walk with God by getting to know him and utilise the awesome play equipment to produce Heavens reality on earth.

Each of the 4 age groups within this program

are surrounded by a loving, inspired, team of leaders that are excited to get to know every kid

and build great friendships.

We believe relationship is the key to both discipleship and walking in power with Jesus.
