Message from Patrick Miller, President & CEO

2018 has been an Epic year for CBC, filled with exciting new

top-notch products for our members. We hope you are already

thrilled to announce the launch of the next product in the Epic

lineup, the Epic Rewards Credit Card! This new rewards card will

provide you with amazing benefits - 5% on gas and travel1, 3% on

Don’t forget to join us on Saturday, October 13 for the fall Shred

Day event at our Ventura office for document shredding, e-waste recycling services, and

delicious coffee and donuts! Also, be on the lookout for a new chip-enabled CBC debit card

if you have not yet received one. We will be reissuing brand new chip-enhanced debit cards

to members by the end of this year.

While this year brings many changes, some things will always stay the same. We remain

As the holiday shopping season approaches, it is a good time to remember that information security is constantly at risk. I would like to share some tips to protect your personal information.

1) The most proactive method of protecting your credit information is to place a “Security Freeze” on your credit reports through the major credit reporting bureaus. This locks down your credit reports so that no one can apply for credit in your name or review your credit history without your knowledge.

2) Use a credit monitoring service. You more than likely already are eligible for some sort of credit monitoring service, but if not, consider using these services to review your credit profile and alert you to any changes that may occur.

3) Get a free copy of your credit report. By law, you are allowed access to a free copy of your credit report from each of the top three bureaus by visiting annualcreditreport.com.

Bike Donation for Casa PacificaFor our most recent team-building activity, we built and decorated bikes for Casa Pacifica! Our employees had a blast working in teams to put them together. We hope they enjoy the bikes as much as we did!

United Way Spirit AwardsEvery year, we look forward to sponsoring the United Way Spirit Awards. This year, we took it a step further and volunteered at the event! It was wonderful to see the positive impact United Way has on our community.

Dodger DayCBC was a proud sponsor yet again of CSU Channel Islands Dodger Day! Dodger Day is an event put on every year by the Alumni and Friends Association to raise money to help support alumni in both their personal and professional lives after graduation.

Point Mugu Surf ContestWe love supporting our service members and their families! CBC was a proud sponsor of the Point Mugu Surf Contest. On August 25 and 26, the Naval Base at Point Mugu was open to the public for this popular event. Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
