“…the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint

supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for

the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:16

The Whole Body: Getting Healthier• Nourished with God’s word, so we can effectively live

in Christ. Matt. 4:4• Godly living (spiritual exercise). 1 Tim. 4:8• True conversion that changes the church inside and

out. Eph. 4:16; Rom. 12:2

Everyday, Every Member• Every one in the body of Christ has a

role/function. Rom. 12:4-8• No role is too big or too small in Christ and

contributes to its well-being. Eph. 4:16

Don’t Feel Guilty… Or, Think Too Highly

• Each one is given a (differing) measure of faith. Cp. Rom. 12:3

• We have different abilities. Rom. 12:4-8• What we ALL can do: work together as a body.

If We Build It (Up)…They Will Come• The Lord builds (adds to) His body.

Acts 2:47• Our faith, however, means we aim to

live sanctified lives in Christ so as to be used as vessels of honors fit for work. 2 Tim. 2:20-21

GO, LIVE AS A FUNCTIONING MEMBER OF A HEALTHY BODY
