WELCOME TO WORSHIP Welcome to worship! On this All Saints’ Day, we remember and celebrate the
faithful saints of CPC who have entered the church triumphant. We also accept
our Lord’s gracious invitation to gather virtually around the table, responding to
God’s sacrificial love in Jesus Christ. As God’s children near and far, let us en-
gage the world for Jesus’ sake.
As we navigate worship, ministry, and life during this season of COVID-19, we
pray that you will find community in both familiar and unexpected places. Our
8:45 a.m. outdoor (soon to be indoor) worship service is a simplified service with
appropriate precautions for attendees (think sociable, yet sensible). Our 10:00
a.m. live stream worship service blends traditional and contemporary styles and
also includes pre-recorded videos which provide an opportunity for members of
our faith community to participate in new ways.
May the peace and wholeness of Christ be with you always,
~Pastor Keith and Pastor Ivan

doors to McMillen Hall starting November 8 at 8:45 a.m. Attendance will be
limited to 60 people and reservations will be required. To reserve your spot,
click HERE or leave a message for Julie Ueltzen at 916-486-9081 ext. 200.
Seating areas will be clearly marked and ushers will be on hand to assist as
needed. Face coverings and social distancing will be required. The service will
last about 40 minutes and include a sermon and instrumental music. Childcare
will NOT be available. Worship bulletins and guidelines for those attending will
be emailed to everyone on the reservation list prior to the service. There will
not be any printed handouts.
The usual worship livestream will continue at 10:00 a.m. While we miss all
of our CPC family and long to gather in person, we ask that if you are at higher
risk for contracting COVID-19 that you continue to worship from home via the
live stream and Zoom coffee fellowship.

OUTDOOR WORSHIP MOVES INDOORS
In 1 Peter 4:10, Peter wrote, “Each one should use
whatever gift he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God’s grace in its various
forms.”
Tim Farley, in today’s Minute for Stewardship,
discusses stewardship and the fourth part of our
Mission Statement – Responding to God’s love
through Jesus Christ, we connect with and serve our
community and the world.
You, faithful members of the congregation, have allowed CPC to “serve” this
year in some different but creative ways. In 2021, with your continued support,
we want to build on that creativity, reach out, and serve even better!
For information on how to pledge and give, including electronically, see details
in the letter or email you received or at the Stewardship Page on CPC’s
website.
FAITH COMES ALIVE IN 2021
This election week may feel unsettled and turbulent. Stay grounded in prayer and join Pastor Ivan every day this week at noon on Facebook Live as we pray for our nation and its people. We will share special prayers written for this election season as well as hold members of our community in prayer as we seek healing, care, and peace. Go to www.facebook.com/carmichaelpres to join in. You can also watch the videos anytime by going to “Posts” on the CPC Facebook page.

HOW TO GIVE
ALL SAINTS DAY
If you are going through a difficult time, whether it be because of isolation, job transition, personal loss, or anxiety
in the time of sheltering-in-place, consider asking for a Stephen Minister. CPC’s trained, caring Stephen Ministers
will listen and walk alongside you as you deal with life’s challenges. Contact one of our Stephen Leaders to see
whether Stephen Ministry is the answer for you or call the confidential line 916-486-0604. During this time of social
distancing, our Stephen Ministers are trained to provide confidential care over the phone.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO FACE IT ALONE
Sally Durante has been always been an artist. She has enjoyed making others
happy too, with painting family and favorite pet portraits, painting window store-
front Christmas and winter scenes at malls, and portraits for the Make-A-Wish
Foundation. She started painting angels after grieving from the loss of three im-
portant people in her life, all in six months. Sally says that painting Angels has
helped her heal, and through God’s gifts, she was helped through this tough time,
to feel alive and happy again.
ART SHOW: “ANGELS ON HIGH”
Special Friends:
Please pray for these
folks who typically are un-
able to attend worship, but
now are likely even more
restricted. Because the list
is long, we include a few
each week.
