The issue?
The Problem
• DoD Munitions Response Program– more than 3300 sites– in excess of 15 million acres– $8 - $35 billion to clean up– >75 years to complete
• We have a lot of work to do……

• Final Rule in Federal Register Oct 5, 2005• Required by Congress• National “Rack & Stack” for response action &
funding priorities - Relative priority tool• PA/SI information will be used as input to
module “scores”• Will not be complete until after 2011

• What are DoD’s plans?- Complete all MMRP PA’s by FY07- Complete all MMRP SI’s by FY10
• Driver for this schedule is need for data to populate the Protocol and score all MMRP sites
