The way to begin the Interview

1. Welcome the candidate, introduce yourself and the Selection Committee

 2. Questions for establishing nice and comfortable

atmosphere: “How was the day so far for you?” short small talk. Ask if there are any questions so far.

 3. Explain the fact that you will make notes and all will be

asking questions. 4. Indicate the duration of the interview and ask (nicely) that

the answers should be precise and not too long (1 minute to think/2 minutes to answer).

1. What is AIESEC according to your own understanding?

2. What is your motivation to participate in the “EXPLORE” program with AIESEC? What will you gain?

3. What kind of skills/knowledge do you want to grow? How are you planning to do it through the EXPLORE program?

4. What do you understand from the term “the societal impact I can have through EXPLORE?”?

EXPLANATION: Does the applicant want to go on EXPLORE GCDP for the right

reasons according to AIESEC mission & Value propositions?

Does the applicant have a good knowledge/understanding about AIESEC and what we do as an organization?

5. Why wouldn’t you choose yourself for the “EXPLORE” program?

EXPLANATION: Can the applicant evaluate himself/herself objectively?

Does he/she understand his/her strengths and weaknesses? Check on his/ her self-awareness.

Solution Orientation6. What are the main challenges you think you might face during your

internship? How do you plan to overcome them?

7. The EXPLORE program is starting. You are in a team of 4 members. You realize that the program is not organized and there is no one responsible. Your team members don’t have specific roles and they lack of motivation. How will you approach the issue and what actions will you follow?

8. Your EXPLORE program is starting. You arrive at the country’s airport in the night but there's no one there to pick you up. What do you do?

9. Imagine you are in Russia, there is not a single English word in the public place, and you don’t know Russian at all. How are you going to make a way into the city?

EXPLANATION: Can the applicant think of solutions and find ways to implement them?

Is he/she decisive to drive his/her own experience despite the challenges he/she might face?

Adjustability10. Describe a big change you had to go through in your life. How

did you cope with this change?

11. During your internship you might face many challenges. For example:

You were asked to move from your accommodation place more than TWICE IN A MONTH. What do you do?

You arrive at the other country and they inform you that there is a delay in the program and that it starts after 1 week. What do you do?

If the living condition in the internship is far lower than your expectation, what do you think and do at that time?

Imagine that you have no support from the host LC. How will you deal with that?

EXPLANATION: Does the applicant appear to be flexible? Is he/she receptive and open to changes?

Commitment12. Do you have past experience in different organizations, clubs,

sports, etc? Please describe your contributions to the results of these activities or organizations.

13. Imagine that we select you. After that, you need to invest time with your EP manager doing interviews in order to find the appropriate internship.

- Are you willing to do it?- How much time do you have?

14. What would make you quit your internship?

EXPLANATION: Is the applicant committed to realize his/her internship and follow

the process from the beginning till the end?

15. Describe 3 things you like most about Greece and 3 things you like least about Greece. Why?

16. There are some people in your project that think Greece is not a safe country because of the economic crisis. What will you say to them?

17. Can you share with us one social issue that makes you feel most sad? Why? What is the root of the problem?

How can he represent Greece? Is he/she a good ambassador of Greece?
