TRANSCRIPT
The Stag is positioned perfectly in order to make the most of many wonderful walks in and around the
surrounding surrey area. We have taken the opportunity to put together some directions to take you on
a 4.5 mile (7.4km) tour through the area.
Directions
Out of the pub car park turn left. Follow the road over Eashing Bridge and
carry straight on. Just before the end of the road take the Bridleway on the
right, opposite the petrol station. Cross the dual carriage way via the bridge.
Through the gate turn right. Follow the path around the field and at the next
gate turn right. Take the first Public Footpath on the left through the trees.
Cross the stile and carry straight on across the field. Turn left then right
keeping the pond on your right. Follow the tarmac road through the village of
Peper Harrow.
Turn right on to the main road then left along Peper Harrow Lane. Upon
entering the village of Shackleford take a sharp right before the Post office
down Grenville Road.
Turn down Rokers Lane. Follow this Bridleway as it bears round to the right.
At the junction of Elstead Road and School Lane turn left. Continue along
the road, under the bridge, until just before you reach the sign for the village
of Hurtmore. On the left is the Squirrel Inn. Enter the car park and
immediately behind and to the right of you is a Bridleway marked with a
height restriction and a cul-de-sac sign.
Walk down the Bridleway, under the bridge, until you reach a staggered
junction of Footpaths and Bridleways.
Take the right hand Bridleway up the muddy/sandy track in to the trees.
Follow this straight on, through a gate, until you reach the road. EOS6 &
EOQW is where the pathmeets the road at Lower Eashing Farm Cottage and
the sign for Greenways Farm & stable. Turn left on to the road and follow it
back over the Eashing bridge to the pub.
