MATERIALS-

Knife

Potato

4 test tubes

Graduated Cylinder

Hydrogen Peroxide

Ruler

Page 3: Enzyme Experiment

PROCEDURE-

Cut 18 1cm x 1cm cubes from a potato

Put 3 cubes in one test tube and pour ten mL of Hydrogen

Peroxide into the test tube

Let sit for five minutes

Measure the height of the reaction with ruler (in cm)

Repeat, this time with 4 cubes in a test tube

Repeat again with 5 cubes

Lastly, repeat with six cubes

HYPOTHESIS-

We believe that the amount of enzymes

positively affects the enzyme rate

CONCLUSION-

From our results, we have concluded that the amount of enzymes

does affect the enzyme rate.

Our results held up our hypothesis, which was that we thought the

enzyme rate would increase along with the number of enzymes
