Good evening and welcome to Vienna! ENW is doing this travel podcast a little back to front as our first location is not in truth the 1: __________ place we visited in the Austrian capital. The museum that we are kicking off our latest travel podcast with is actually the second spot we have visited on our two day trip. Why are we starting with the Third Man Museum then? Well 2: __________ this is the most recently built of ENWs Vienna visits!

So why has ENW decided to stop by this small, private museum that is only open for 4 hours every Saturday? Well quite simply it is one of our 3: __________ movies and is also based on a 1949 novella by one of ENWs favourite authors - Grahame Greene. Both are set in a post-war 4: _________ that is still ravaged by World War II. The story revolves around the mysterious Harry Lime, who may or may not have been killed in the city.

The museum which opened in 2005, receives no financial support from the Austrian 5: ________ and so the entrance fee of €8.90 seems quite reasonable. Inside are more than 3,000 exhibits including original scripts, posters, equipment and props from the 1949 movie. We arrived late last night in Vienna, and the canalboat we booked for our 3 night stay, shall we say was… problematic to get into! Anyway, so despite not having had very much sleep ENW is ready to visit out first location on our Vienna trip - in Location Two of the podcast! Boy Loves Girl but Problems with Demons When ENW is lucky enough to travel to a city around the world we are always looking for an interesting spot for our final location as we always like to go out with a 1: ____! Sometimes this is easy, other times more complicated. However, in Vienna the choice was very simple, ENW knew that we had to visit the Vienna Opera House, and if possible 2: ____ an operatic performance there.

Luckily for ENW there is an opera performance on our final night in the city. The 1821 German opera Der Freischütz or The 3: ____ was being performed at the Vienna Opera House. The opera was written by composer Carl Maria von Weber and the story is quiet 4: ____; a man loves a woman, but a demon, and then a betrayal by a friend create problems before help from an angel and the king means everything ends up happily ever after! Interestingly the section just to the right of ENW is the standing 5: ____ where people can queue up and buy a ticket for just €4!

Seating tickets ranged from €37 to €321, so ENW has plumped for one in the Balkon Halbmitte for €57. Now ENWs German is 6: ____, but not up to listening to a 2hr 45min opera in German! Thankfully each seat in the opera house has a screen with a translation offered in six languages - including English and Japanese!
