Are You A Visionary? How would you like to get involved in helping the City of Scos Valley plan for its future? The City of Scos Valley is updating its General Plan, a community visionary document that serves as a “blueprint” for future land use-related policy decisions. To help guide this process, the City is seeking three at-large community representatives to serve on the General Plan Advisory Commiee (GPAC). The GPAC is an advisory commiee that will play a critical role in working with the community to update the General Plan. Other GPAC representatives will include: two City Council members, the Chair of the City’s Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission, and board members from the Fire District, Water District, School District and Chamber of Commerce. Appointments to the GPAC are temporary; their role and responsibilities will terminate with City Council adoption of the General Plan. All GPAC meetings will be open to the public. The 11 member GPAC will provide strategic recommendations as part of the update process, recognizing that the determination of what items are included in the General Plan ultimately rests with City Council. Your commitment would include participation in approximately 10 GPAC meetings (generally once a month) and at least two community meetings. Are You A Visionary? How would you like to get involved in helping the City of Scotts Valley plan for its future?

The City of Scotts Valley is updating its General Plan, a community visionary document that serves as a “blueprint” for future land use-related policy decisions. To help guide this process, the City is seeking three at-large community representatives to serve on the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC).

The GPAC is an advisory committee that will play a critical role in working with the community to update the General Plan.

The entire process is envisioned to take approximately 18-24 months.

The Community Visioning Workshop is your opportunity to help lay the foundation for current and future generations in Scotts Valley. It will be an interactive, open house format where you will have a chance to talk directly with City Council, Planning Commission, and City sta. So come join us for an evening of engaging conversation and visionary thinking!

We want to know your
