Dust is finely divided solids that

    become airborne through a

    fracture process from a

larger solid object. Commonhousehold dust is

    mainly composed of decayed skin

    particles, while

    industrial dust is commonly

    generated by sawing,

    grinding, or polishing of wood,

    metal, plastic, ormasonry type materials.

Dust can cause irreversible harm to computer

Electronics & its associated electromechanicalcomponents.Without protection from dust, serious computer errors, loss of information, orcomplete failure can result.

The standard PC is not inherently designed tobe tolerant of high levels of dust so steps arerequired to mitigate such conditions. There area variety of low cost but effective solutionsavailable that are well worth implementing.

    What is dust ?

A computer room air conditioning (CRAC) unit is a device that

monitors and maintains the temperature, air distribution and humidity

in a network room or data center. CRAC units are replacing air-

conditioning units that were used in the past to cool data centers.According to Industrial Market Trends, mainframes and racks of

servers can get as hot as a seven-foot tower of powered toaster

ovens, so climate control is an important part of the data center's

    infrastructure.

    This Computer Room

Flooring is anti-static highstrength super light

    elevated floors.

The unique designingfeatures of the raised floorinclude: Anti-static,abrasive-resistance with theunique style of the naturalstones. All these exit its everlasting characteristics.

The space below the floorcan be used for theinstallation of electricdevices, the drainage andthe air-conditioning systems.

Because each panel sheetto be easily and separatelydismantled. It is easy tocarry out the inspection andmaintenance service for allthese systems installed.

    Components which produce

    heat and are susceptible to

    performance loss and damage

include integrated circuits suchas CPUs, chipset and graphics

    cards, along with hard drives

    (though excessive cooling of

hard drives has been found to

    have negative effects).

    Overheated parts fail early and

    may give sporadic problems

    resulting in system freezes or

    crashes.

Most of the internal components (ie: cpu, ram, motherboardetc) are sensitive to and damaged by even small amounts ofstatic electricity and need to be earthed to discharge any buildup as do we when we touch any of those internal parts.

    Humidity & Computures

A high level of humidity cancause internal components ofPCs to rust and degradesome of their essentialproperties, such as electricalresistance or thermalconductivity. Under extremeconditions, humidity cancause computers to short-

circuit, resulting in effectsranging from loss of data tophysical damage of somesystem components. Thissituation can be aggravatedfurther when computers are inenvironments that are notclimate controlled such aswarehouses or areas onindustrial floors where otherchemical vapours may bemixing with the humidity andbecoming corrosive.

A dedicated computer room creates ahuge benefits. A large server setup, willquickly surpass tolerable and/orregulatory noise levels (which can bevaried in each state or country). The heatreducing demands will also besignificantly higher. The only option is toallow for a dedicated computer or serverroom with specialized air conditioningthat will cater to your specified idealserver room temperature. A dedicatedarea will also make limiting personnelaccess much easier to handle. Its

probably a good idea to implementelectronic badge or card access, andmaintain a log of who has entered orexited the room.

In addition to the server itself, generally adedicated computer room will alsocontain disks, back-up devices, cables, and, most likely, spare disks, peripheralcards, blades, fans, and other vital

equipment. You will probably be able toprovide server administration remotely, but a local console in the server room isalso crucial, which will allow personnel toperform functions like maintenance andadministration locally.
