S.O. 97(E):- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of Sub-section I of Section 12 and Section 13 read with clause I of tile Notification NO. 145(E) dated 21st February, 1991, issued under Section 23 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986). The Central Pollution Control Board hereby recognizes, (a) the laboratories specified in clause (2) of the Table below as environmental laboratories to carry out the functions entrusted to the environmental laboratories under the said Act, and the rules made thereunder, and (b) specified persons in Column (3) of the Table to be the Government Analysts for the purposes of analysis of samples of air, water, soil or other substances sent for analysis, and makes the following amendments in the Notification number S.O. No. 728(E), dated 21.7.1987, S.0. No. 838(E) dated 23.9.1987, S.O. No. 989 (E), dated 17.11.1987, S.O. No. 489(E), dated 17.5.1988, S.O. No. 156(E), dated 24.2.1989, S.O. No. 846(E), dated 24.10.1989 and S.O. No. 313(E), dated 31.3.1994:
