• This event is open to the public and highlights the services and safeguards that SNHD brings to our community.
• Each Environmental Health program is represented and the Expo hosted over 400 attendees last year.
FOOD OPERATIONS
Mobile Food Vendor Stickers
Starting in July 2019, Environmental Health will be issuing readily-recognizable stickers for mobile vendors. This enables the community to recognize and patronize legitimate vendors.
Electric Daisy Carnival
Food Operations provided inspection services and food safety coverage for this event.
The event has over 100,000 individual attendees and has food, swimming, and camping outlets throughout the event.
NASCAR @ Las Vegas Motor Speedway
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosts two premier NASCAR events: the Kobalt 400 and the South Point 400.
The Kobalt 400 is the largest sporting event in the USA west of the Mississippi River – even bigger than the Rose Bowl!
Food Operations ensures that more than 200 food outlets serve food and beverages safely to sports patrons.
Life Is Beautiful Concert Event
The Life is Beautiful concert event brings in over 70,000 individual attendees and hosts over 35 musical artists.
Staff ensures that over 120 food outlets operate safely.
This event occurs in Downtown Las Vegas, occupying this area for over five days. This presents many challenges for food service, waste disposal, and water supply.

The See Dumping? Say Something! Campaign started with a poster design. Staff attended multiple events and spoke to the public about illegal dumping, its ramifications, and SNHD’s solid waste case process.
The Don’t Trash Recycling poster was created after the success of the See Dumping? Say Something! campaign. This endeavor was aimed at cleaning up recycling commodities to increase overall recycling and decrease recyclables going into the landfill.
And lastly, a stormwater management training was held for permitted disposal facilities.
