OUTSIDE AIR/OXYGEN ENTERSAir enters the Envirolet® Composting Unit through louvered Service Panel (flush systems) or Bowl (waterless systems) because of negative pressure present in the unit created by dual fans.

AIR IS HEATEDThe outside air is drawn by the Blower Fan towards back of unit and is forced through the thermostatically controlled Heater (conveniently located in the easy-to-access Works-in-a-Drawer™ Box).

HEATED AIR FORCED DOWNThe heated air is then forced down the Blower Pipe by the powerful Blower Fan to the Tray area in the bottom of the unit.

AUTOMATIC SIX-WAY AERATION™The heated air is then forced back up by the powerful Vent Fan. This creates the patented Sancor Automatic Six-Way Aeration™ process as the heated air travels through all 6 sides of the waste/compost material (bottom, top and four sides) of the specially designed Aeration Basket. This process allows for maximum aeration for rapid evaporation and compost-action.

EVAPORATIONRapid evaporation of liquids occurs as the result of a powerful dual-fan system that exhausts the evaporated liquids up the Venting System until it exits the System completely through the Wind Turbine Ventilator (included with all Systems).

COMPOSTINGThe remaining solid material (85-90%) is left in a warm and well-aerated environment, ideal for composting. Additives (peat moss, Compost Accelerator, our special compost mixes) help the natural microbe-action further to speed up the composting process.

HOW IT WORKSEnvirolet® Systems are the most advanced composting toilet systems available today. A patented Automatic Six-Way Aeration™ process is what differentiates Envirolet® from others. In short, this process speeds up the composting and evaporation process significantly through forced-air, heat and natural microbe-action. And, unlike others, there is no drum to manually turn.

The most important thing is to add some “good bacteria” to assist the natural microbe-action. Add Sancor Daily Mix (or peat moss). Then pull the Aerator (top) bar a few times a week. Up to 70’ is possible but in most applications it is easier to locate the vacuum generator and composting unit close by (e.g., the same shed). INSTALLATION & VENTING• Installation is simple. The main steps involve positioning the toilet in the bathroom, positioning the remote tank (where applicable) and installing the venting. Use our Choosing guides to help select the right system for your space.• All vent installations should be as straight up (vertical) as possible. 90 degree bends should not be used to allow for proper evaporation and avoid venting issues. If you need to exit a side wall use 2 x 45 degree elbows. More info at go.sancorind.com/90.• Waterless Self-Contained Systems use a 3” vent and all Remote Systems, including FlushSmart VF Systems, use a 4” vent.• An optional Union Coupling is available for Waterless Self-Contained Systems to allow for easier vent removal.• In Waterless Self-Contained Systems all venting that is outside or in an attic must be insulated.• The vent should extend a minimum of 2 feet above where it exits the roof and be fitted with Wind Turbine Ventilator. Do not obstruct top of vent in any way. EMPTYING• Systems are emptied from 1-2 times per year (seasonal cottage-type use) to 2-4 times per year (heavy use, full-time use, commercial use, etc.) under normal operation and conditions.• To empty, the sealed bottom panel is removed, the finished compost is raked down and the collection tray is removed.• The finished compost is clean, compost material. It can generally be disposed of in the forest, buried or added to non-food gardens. Check local regulations if any specific rules apply to your location.• More info at go.sancorind.com/empty.

USE & CAREOperation is easy! Your Envirolet® can be used much like a “regular” flush toilet. However, there are just a few extra things you have to do to keep the natural composting process functioning as it should. Below are some basic things to do.

Additives & Aeration• To keep your system operating normally you need to add a small amount of Sancor Daily Mix (or substitute locally available peat moss) every day and some Sancor Daily Mix (or substitution) every week.• Compost Accelerator is added weekly to speed up the composting process.• Pull the top Aerator handle 1-2 times a week.

Toilet Paper• Use single-ply or biodegradable toilet tissue as it breaks down faster.

Cleaning• Clean your system with environment-friendly (biodegradable) cleaners only. No chemicals should be used.• Waterless Systems feature a removable bowl for periodic easy-cleaning out of the system.

Switch Controls (DC and AC models only)1. Normal Mode: When toilet will be in use.2. Energy Mode: When toilet will not be is use for up to 2 weeks or to conserve power.3. Off: When toilet will not be used for more than 2 weeks (e.g., shut down for season).

POWER USE12VDC Systems - Compare our fan speed to others!• Normal 12VDC Systems feature 2 Fans. Each fan draws 0.24 AMPS. Normal Mode uses 2 Fans or 0.48 AMPS. Energy Mode uses 1 Fan or 0.24 AMPS. These fans move air at 93 CFM (cubic feet per minute).• High Speed 12VDC Systems (special option) feature 2 Fans with each fan drawing 0.48 AMPS or 2 Fans at 0.96 AMPS. This high speed option is recommended if system is operated on a larger battery or solar system where power use is not a concern. These fans move air at 113 CFM. 12VDC Systems should be operated with power “on” as directed for normal performance.• 12VDC FlushSmart VF models draw 8AMPS for 30-45 seconds/flush (or approx. 3AMPS/day at 30/flushes) in the VG Unit and 2AMPS for 7 seconds/flush (approx. 0.12AMPS/day at 30 flushes) in the tolet (700 Series models only).• 12VDC Systems must connect to a deep-cycle marine battery. 120VAC Electric Systems - Compare our fan speed to others!• 120VAC Systems feature 2 Fans + Heater (thermostatically-controlled). Each Fan is 20W (0.24 AMPS, 50/60 Hz) and the heater is 500W (4.2 AMPS). Normal Mode uses 2 Fans (40W) + Heater (500W) or 540W max. total approximately 25% of the time or 40W max. total approximately 75% of the time (as the heater shuts on and off). Energy Mode uses 2 Fans only at 40W max. These fans move air at 117 CFM. AC Systems should be operated with power “on” as directed for normal performance.

230VAC Electric Systems - Compare our fan speed to others!• 230VAC Systems feature 2 Fans + Heater (thermostatically-controlled). Each Fan is 20W (0.11 AMPS, 50/60 Hz) and the heater is 500W (2.17 AMPS). EXCESS LIQUID DRAINING (IF REQUIRED)• All systems require an excess liquid drain except Waterless AC Electric (120VAC or 230VAC) models (i.e., MS10 and WRS AC) as these units can evaporate all liquids under normal operation.• Excess liquid drain must gravity connect to an acceptable or approved drain site (leach field, holding container, etc.). A leach field or drain pit is simple to make. Our instructions have complete plans (see example at right).• Regulations for draining vary depending on your location.
