ServingChristmas at the Nursing Homes

Please Consider this - there are many individuals who cannot make it into the beauty of the commu-nity gathered for Christmas Eve... many who will not have family present, many who need to know that they are still valued by God during this Holi-day Season. An hour of your time can enrich and bless a person stationed permanently in a nursing facility.Needed - Readers of short scripture passages throughout the 45 minute service. Soloists - Anyone willing to sing or play a solo is appreciated.Mon., Dec. 24, 2018: The Pines 1:30 PM – Pat Tay-lor, Leader - Lois Rowe, Pianist; Warren Center 2 PM – Sandy Lowder, Leader; Jan McGuire, Pianist. If you can participate at either nursing home, please contact Sherrie Ann Cutts (518-636-5955 | [email protected]) to be on either list. Thanks to all who are able to share their time.

CaringChristmas Adoption Update - Joy Griffin

The generosity of this congregation overwhelms me & shows what a caring congregation we are. The response to my appeal for more cash was fantastic & unbelievable - you gave $1121! (There was a check that came in too late, which will be added to our carry-over for next year.) Because of your generosity, we provided the fami-lies with several toiletries, along with a Hannaford Holiday meal gift card. We provided the seniors a small gift card and a few toiletries. We had 3 fami-lies with a total of 9 children and 22 seniors. Along with the food and toiletries for the families, The Prayer Shawl Committee provided prayer shawls for each of our seniors and the 2nd Life Wearhouse provided additional clothing items.

The Warren County Dept. of Soc. Svcs. are so appreciative of your generosity for our seniors, as is the Family Services Assoc. for our families. You have brought great joy & happiness into many lives for Christmas. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Poinsettias for ChristmasSign up on the clipboard to order a poinsettia in honor or in remembrance of a loved one for Christ-mas weekend! We will list your loved one in the weekend bulletins. Cost for each (8.5” pot - 3 plants per pot) poinsettia is $20.

Men’s Group Christmas Party!Annual Party at Paul Cederstrom’s house on Fri. Dec. 14th at 6pm. Potluck & games! Paul’s address is 20 Sylvan Lane Queensbury. Please bring a dish or goodies to share along with the beverage you wish to consume. For some of you members that may not have gone before to this party it is a very relaxed setting where we enjoy each others compa-ny and the food people bring, so please check your calendar and let Paul or Steve Huntington know if you can make it. This year we will be playing some games instead of trivia questions. Also we will be talking and seeking suggestions on donating to a person or family in need this holiday season. So if you would like to donate some money to this cause please remember to bring some cash because we will pass a hat. We can talk about purchasing gift cards etc.
