Entertaining science

Science vs. Fiction

The fiction world has long been full of cool science and

technology that eventually sneaks its way into real life.

In fact, scientific advisers for films and television help to

bring credibility to the screen.

With every new good Sci-Fi movie, fiction comes bit by bit

closer to reality.

"The Avengers“, in which Marvel’s greatest superheroes join forces to conquer world-threatening evil, is favored and loved by many fans worldwide.

The new " Avengers:Age of Ultron" hit the theater last month and it already crossed the 1 billion box office milestone, which also proves that the movie is highly popular.

Captain America’s shield

The shield is made of "Vibranium," a metal extracted from a meteorite that crashed in Africa. It is capable of absorbing, storing and redirecting

kinetic energy, and the material becomes more powerful as more weapons are turned against it.

The top-secret Super Soldier Serum pioneered a way to target and deliver

a specialized protein throughout the body. This created an epigenetic

reaction that activated a subject’s genes and enhanced physiological makeup, including height, weight,

vitals, overall strength and reflexes.

Creation of Hulk

Dr. Banner created a modern version of the Super Solider Serum. He injected himself

with the serum, then exposed himself to gamma radiation, and the combination created the unprecedented results.

Intergalactic travel

Asgardians seems to have mastered the use of

intergalactic travel through the use of wormholes, or the bending of space and

time.

Thor's method of travel is supported by a real theory called

the Einstein Rosen Bridge, a theory by Albert Einstein and

Nathan Rosen, which supposed two portals through space could be created with a much shorter

path between them – aka a wormhole.
