WELCOME TO ENTERPRISING DONEGAL BUSINESS WEEK 2015
DONEGAL LOCAL ENTERPRISE OFFICE
As Chief Executive of Donegal County Council it gives me great pleasure in welcoming you to our annual Business Week – Enterprising Donegal Business Week 2015. This is the first year that the Donegal Business Week is being organised by the Local Enterprise Office operating as an integral part of Donegal County Council. Currently we are developing an integrated plan for the development of enterprise, economic and community development for Donegal and the small business community in the county and the Local Enterprise Office, within Donegal County Council, will both play key roles in delivering on this plan and in developing a strong, vibrant economy in our county.
Firmly established in the business calendar of Donegal, Business Week offers an annual opportunity for people in business and those thinking about starting a business, to take some time to review where they are with their businesses or business idea and to learn from other like-minded people. Our ultimate objectives for Donegal Business Week are the encouragement of new business start-ups and assisting existing businesses to improve their management skills.
I would like to thank the other enterprise support agencies and organisations who have worked with us in putting the schedule of events together. I also wish to acknowledge and thank our local businesses who have committed to participating in Donegal Business Week and to sharing their experience and expertise.
• Is the first point of contact for business information, business advice
and referral in Donegal.
• Promotes entrepreneurship and an enterprise culture within Donegal.
• Provides a range of supports and programmes to assist in the
establishment and development of micro and small businesses in
Donegal.
• Engages in economic development and sector specific projects that
impact positively on the small and micro business sector and the
Donegal economy.
