DESCRIPTION

Originally presented at the Boston KM Forum meeting at Bentley, Wednesday, April 9, 2008. At the time, our first-quarter 2008 “Market IQ” on Enterprise 2.0 had just been completed, and a survey of 441 people revealed a subset who are having more success with Enterprise 2.0 than the general survey population. Does Enterprise 2.0 signify the birth of KM 2.0? We’ll examine some of the findings, and discuss the implications for new and old KM implementations.

word if known at all)

Page 20: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

Still... Knowledge Remains Blocked

But didn’t KM solve this years ago?

Page 23: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

No Matter How Important We Believe

KM to Be

Page 24: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

To Most Organizations, KM is...

Under the Radar

Meanwhile...KM Practitioners say...

The Primary KM Issues Still Remain

Page 27: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

Brains...Can’t hire the talent you want, aren’t tapping the talent you already have.

Page 32: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

The Solution?

Page 33: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

Capture “Knowledge Work” as Daily Work

(Don’t Capture Knowledge Separately)

Page 34: Enterprise 2.0 = Knowledge Management 2.0?

Knowledge is Information Applied and Re-used, not
