Cougar Club Extended School Enrichments

Your Choice, Your Way Monthly Classes (m) Monthly classes meet once a week September—June. You may enroll at any time. The first month’s payment is required at registration. Payments for each additional month will be due on the 20th.

Quarterly Classes (q) Quarterly classes meet once (or twice) per week for 6 weeks. For maximum class enjoyment, enroll in quarterly classes before the first class meets. Full payment for a quarterly class is required in advance.

Private Lessons (p) Private music lessons are by arrangement. You arrange a date and time that is mutually agreeable to you and the teacher. The first month’s payment is required at registration. Payments for each additional month will be due on the 20th. Enroll in private music lessons at any time.

Classes begin the week of September 19th.

Extended School Program Discount:

In order to receive the ES discount, your child must be enrolled in the Extended School Program in Options 1, 2, 3, or 4.

Enrichment Classes 2011-2012

Lettuce Eat Healthy! (m) Using a greenhouse and other materials provided by a grant through School’s Out Washington, students will design, plant and care for their own produce garden. The produce grown will be used in EDE snacks and cooking classes. All Ages Fridays • 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monthly Cost: $20 • $15 with ES discount

Gymnastics (m) Gymnastics, tumbling and yoga all rolled into one ACTVE power-packed 60 minute class!

All Ages

Tuesdays • 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Monthly Cost: $60 / month • $45 with ES discount

Group Violin (m) Goals for our violin lessons are good tone quality, proper posture, solid technique, good intonation, ear training, confident shifting, practice techniques, making music rather than just playing notes, proper stage etiquette, and confidence and ease in performance. As we work to accomplish our goals, we will enjoy the wonderful journey of making music.

Soccer Shots (m) Soccer shots this quarter has been designed as an action

packed soccer skill-building program for our Kindergarten -

2nd graders.

Cheer (Q) Jump Kids Cheer! Cheer, dance, and express your school spirit! Each session introduces new cheers and a full dance routine.

Cooking (Q) Creative Cooking with God in mind! Each lesson comes complete with a recipe and Biblical life application.

Wrestling (Q) Learn the techniques of competitive wrestling. Class meets twice a week on a rotating schedule determined by the instructor.

100-Mile Club (m) Finish Strong! Run or walk 100 miles by the end of the school year. Earn a T-shirt, a membership card, a bracelet and a gold medal by running or walking for 45 minutes.

Mr. Q’s Taekwondo (m) Students will be taught the basic fundamentals of the Korean Art of Taekwondo. The emphasis of this program is to help instill Respect, Courtesy, Integrity, Humility and Perseverance. Students will be taught leadership skills, building self-confidence and self-reliance, defensive skills and ultimately, self-esteem.

K-6th (Additional forms required.)

Scrabble (m) Scrabble Club is starting its 5th year at CCS! This could be your year to get in on the fun! Scrabble is for kids who love words, puzzles, games, friends, competition, and fun! Each year we take several teams of 5th and 6th graders to a tournament in Oregon. Last year, one of our 6th graders went

with a teammate from Oregon to the National School Scrabble Tournament in Florida! His team came in 17th out of 100 teams! We’re going to do some new things in Scrabble Club this year – so don’t miss it! You don’t have to know how to play Scrabble to join; we’ll teach you! Our first week will be the week of September 19th, so grab a friend and sign up soon! Space is limited. Hope to see you there!
