Knowledge-based developmentAFF's Leadership Survey reveals that 75% of leaders wish to understand how their behaviour affects others. AFF 360 provides leaders with clear and useful answers, and gives them a good starting point for developing their role as leader. When management teams are asked what makes the group successful, they answer that collaboration with other management teams is essential.

AFF's Management Team Profile not only gives the team's leader and members insight into their own behaviour and effectiveness, but also provides an opportunity to collect valuable feedback from their most important stakeholders.

At an organisational level, we offer approved work environment surveys that assess whether the organisation fulfills legal work environment requirements. In addition, the organisation receives a foundation for its improvement efforts. It is not enough to arrive at a simple number which reports how satisfied the employees are; organisations also need to know where the pressure is greatest, in order to prevent conflicts and environment related sick leave.

AFF Cultural Analysis measures workplace values and organisational culture. This can be useful when cultural issues potentially threaten change processes, or as a starting point for general organisational improvement. LEADERSHIP SURVEYS

We support our customers in adapting to and mastering present and future challenges The overriding vision behind AFF's Leadership Survey is to provide relevant knowledge and competence about leadership. The surveys in 1999, 2002 and 2011 mapped leaders' roles and work situation, and their views on the challenges that they and their organisations face.

In 2016, AFF's Leadership Survey will focus on innovation and the capacity for change. We are particularly interested in gaining knowledge about what role leadership plays in organisations' capacity for change and development. In addition to examining the significance of the contribution made by formal leaders, we will also study leadership in a broader sense, i.e., leadership that arises from initiatives taken and engagement shown by those who are subordinate to formal leaders. Current leadership literature refers to this as distributed leadership, or shared leadership.

Does the organisation’s culture support its strategic direction? Does the organisation's culture ensure that important tasks are shown priority? All organisations have their own distinctive characteristics. Some values are shared; these are the values that the organisation stands for as a group or community. To reach your goals, especially when involved in mergers and restructuring activities, it is essential to identify and develop culture and values. Conflicts can be transformed from being a problem to becoming an important resource that increases creativity, innovation and the ability to make sound decisionsThe potential for conflict increases during organisational restructuring or when demanding strategic decisions are needed. It is a competitive advantage to generate value through collaboration and foster a constructive approach to dealing with conflict in these situations.

AFF is one of very few leadership consultancies able to combine conflict resolution with learning and cultural development work. Our starting point is that conflicts can be either constructive or destructive, depending on how they are handled.
