Omega-3 and astaxanthin nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals are high growth markets 2013 retail omega-3 global market estimated at $25B, by 2016 - $34B (Packaged Facts) Omega-3 enriched oil from Algae is currently priced at $100 - $150/kg wholesale
2013 Astaxanthin global market estimated at $60M, by 2016 - $200M (Frost & Sullivan)
Astaxanthin is currently priced at $12,000 - $15,000/kg wholesale High costs of scalability prevents many companies from economically entering these high
growth markets

Global Omega-3 Market Double digit demand growth for omega-3 oils is exceeding new supply Over 80% of the global omega-3 supply is marine based and capped by quotas (i.e. MSC) DSM’s March 2013 omega-3 price rose 15%

S4CO2’s Integrated Biogas RefineryTM
Biogas Purification and Infusion SystemTM
(BPIS)
Algae Cultivation System (ACS)
Harvesting and Extraction System
(HES)
• Harvest system harvests and lyses the grown algae culture
• Up to 99% of the water is recycled and reused
• The lysed slurry is run through a Screen Separator and Oil Press to filter out the oil/water and pelletize the residual biomass
• The filtered oil/water is run through a disc stack centrifuge to separate the water (which is recycled) and algae oil
• Infuses CO2 gas into water in a bubble-less, bio-available form that results in enhanced algae production
• CO2 gas can be infused from various sources including bottled CO2, ethanol CO2 and AD biogas
• Algae grown in large indoor photo bio-reactors (PBRs)
• Algae contain high value nutra/pharma co-products such as Omega-3 oil
• Modular and linearly scalable
Solutions4CO2 Inc. (S4CO2) is a Canadian company that develops innovative Waste to High Value Co-Product solutions for waste gas, water and biomass streams by integrating proprietary and licensed technologies under the trademark Integrated Biogas RefineryTM :
The entire IBR is controlled by a proprietary Automated Instrumentation and Control System (AICS).
S4CO2’s Algae IBR Process Flow
Biogas Purification and Infusion SystemTM (BPIS) • Infuses and completely dissolves CO2 gas into water in a bubble-less, bio-available form • Licensed patented micro porous hollow fiber technology • Fully dissolved CO2 has been proven to sharply enhance algae production, maximizing value
