The Field Trials Spring Newsletter 2017

The Kennel Club English Springer Spaniel Championship took place on the 9th – 11th January 2017 by kind permission of Bob and Sonya Byrd at the Harvington Shoot, Worcestershire.

Judges: Mr John Dickson [1963] Mr Jack Iliffe [2497] Mr Roy Ellershaw [2766] Mr Dave Rayner [2771]

From day 1 the entire Championship ran very smoothly and has been widely acclaimed as a great success.

The Head Keeper and Harvington Shoot Manager, Mr Steve Smith, has previously hosted many field trials and in particular the Cocker Spaniel Championship in January 2016. Having been a Gundog Club Secretary, Steve also has an excellent overall view of the sport – an important element on these occasions.

The Chairman welcomed everyone at the beginning of each day, making particular mention of the Host and Sponsors, with Steve Smith giving a very important directive regarding the required behaviour of the gallery. Steve had done his best to improve viewing at Harvington by changing the route and position of the gallery. However, this meant that everyone had to be extremely quiet throughout, with no exceptions. Following the introduction of the Guns and Judges, Liz Russell announced changes to the card and that 62 would be running. Particular mention was made regarding the necessity for very strict control of “the line”.

We were in deciduous woodland throughout the Championship with the gallery being able to walk along cleared rides most of the time – despite being somewhat slippery and muddy! The weather was very kind to us and even the threatened rain for the second day did not last very long. Steve Smith was in total discreet control via radio with the excellent team of stops enabling the game to come to hand as required, giving all dogs ample time to prove their hunting ability in the varied bog and woodland cover. Shooting in these conditions is far from easy but the guns more than adequately demonstrated their experience knowing exactly when and what to shoot for the maximum benefit of the Spaniels. It was very pleasing to see a Flatcoated Retriever with the Picker-Up Graham Cullen – these dogs being renowned for their game finding ability but not so good on the whistle! Fortunately Graham did not have a great deal to do and the final bag was:

Chief Steward Steve Russell [Spaniel Club Field Trial Secretary]

Judges’ Stewards – Sally Jenkins and Paddy Morley [Spaniel Club Committee]

Dog Stewards - Nigel Dear [Kennel Club] and Jim Briggs [Spaniel Club Committee.]

Gallery Stewards – Sarah Gazey and friends,

Press Steward – Colin Thompson

Flag/Parking Stewards made up of a variety of helpers with Spaniel Club Members and Committee

Game Carriers – Liam Mulcrow [Spaniel Club Committee] and Spaniel Club Member Paul Gascoyne

Due to the stable weather conditions, the steadiness of the game coming to hand and the good shooting we made excellent progress leaving 44 dogs still in at the end of the first day. At the end of the second day there were 14 dogs left to finish their second round. This situation gave ample time for the presentations after lunch on the third day – no rushing around.

Reportwanted to join us again. Our President Elect. Bob Aldenton hosted the line on the second day.

It was very evident that the four judges liaised very well and were of the same mind which added to the good atmosphere.

Sarah Gazey and her team took control of the Gallery very ably and the parking was well organised by Liam Mulcrow and friends. Michael Marjoram from Skinners provided the usual very welcome hot soup, teas and coffees to all in the main marquee ably supported by Toni Smith who was selling hot rolls with free teas and coffees in the shoot lodge adjacent the marquee.

All the staff of Skinners, our main outside sponsors, Lee Phillips [Managing Director] Will Delamore [Marketing Director], and Laura Peakman [Area Representative] worked hard every day assisting the Spaniel Club in a variety of ways – they were a tower of strength. Marsdens’ Game Feeds was represented by Don Crutchfield and BASC by Sam Walker and Alex Farrell – as with all official guests they were able to be “up front” and we are encouraged by their obvious interest which we hope will continue.

A raffle was run each day in the main marquee and the auction held at the dinner on the Tuesday evening in the Salford Hall Hotel raised almost £2,000. This was a tremendous effort, not least because both Lord Vestey and Bob Byrd offered a day’s shooting, which helped considerably. This was an informal evening with joint humour provided by Will Delamore and Anne Greeves running the auction and from Anne’s Championship “Ode”.

Prior to the presentations the Chairman gave her profuse thanks

to the Spaniel Club Committee who had worked well as a team all year to make this event a success – in particular to the Secretary, Liz Russell as it was her 10th Championship supported by her husband Steve [Spaniel Club Field Trial Secretary] plus all the usual thanks to Host/Sponsors/Local Helpers and many more. Special mention was made of the excellent work of Tanith Holman who will be retiring as Treasurer at the March AGM.

All the results are on the Spaniel Club website with the hugely popular win by Simon Dixon – he was so overcome with emotion that he was unable to speak - a very fitting accolade after 15 years competing in field trials. All the sponsors took part in presenting the Diplomas [21] and Awards with Bob and Sonya Bird and Will Delamore presenting the numerous winner’s cups. The Spaniel Club presented Bob Byrd with a case of vintage port and Steve Smith with a bottle of vintage whisky.

All the photographs taken by Paul Rawlings, the Spaniel Club official photographer, are on the Spaniel Club web site and Paul French will be producing a DVD of the event in the usual way.

The Red Cross were in attendance each day.

At the end of the Presentations the Chairman announced that the 2018 English Springer Spaniel Championship will be held at Drumlanrig, Dumfrieshire on January 15th /16th/17th and in 2019 on January 10th/11th/12th at Baronscourt, Northern Ireland.

Cocker Spaniel Championshipby Jon Kean

The 87th Kennel Club Cocker Spaniel Championship, in association with Eukanuba, has been won with a dazzling and fearless performance by Welshman Dai Ormond’s three year old Cocker bitch, Byrbwll Dotty. Dotty gave a classic demonstration in Spaniel work to take top honours in this prestigious event.

The Championship is like the Olympics for true working Cockers – the pocket rockets of the gundog world. One thing is for sure, these little dogs work their socks off in the quest for game. Clearly, they must have a lot of heart room!

I could watch the Cockers all day – their energy knows no bounds. Stamina, drive and serious game finding ability spring to mind, amongst other things and these qualities were certainly present at this year’s championship venue – Abbeystead Estate in Lancashire, by gracious permission of the Duke of Westminster, himself a keen shooting man.

Abbeystead is part of the Grosvenor Estate – which represents all the business activities of the Grosvenor family – and is a privately owned organisation. Situated in the Trough of Bowland, Lancashire, Abbeystead is a sporting estate renowned for its grouse moor and pheasant shoot and consists of heather moorland and upland hill farms. The estate covers approximately 11,130 hectares (27,500 acres) including the lease of sporting rights. It is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and more than two thirds of the estate is designated as a site of Special Scientific Interest. It is also a special protection area. The aim of the estate is to bring a 21st century approach to stewardship of land, property and the environment.

As with previous Cocker Championships, the Kennel Club’s Working Party – consisting of John Dickson, Jon Bailey, Davy Dunn and myself as Chairman - spent many months planning the event, in consultation with the Kennel Club staff, Team Leader Kate Broers and Field Trial Secretary Nigel Dear. Most importantly, however, it also involved a close working relationship with Abbeystead Headkeeper Tony Barrow. Tony left no stone unturned to ensure that the Championship ran like a well-oiled machine.

For centuries, Abbeystead has had a strong reputation as one of the UK’s leading sporting estates. There are two teams of expert gamekeepers responsible for the management of pheasants and grouse on the moor and these teams maintain the habitats and landscapes across the estate as well as controlling pests and supporting tenant farmers. Tony has worked for Abbeystead for 10 years and during that time his teams have successfully developed the low ground shoot. Tony told me: “Working for the Grosvenor family has to be the pinnacle of anybody’s game keeping career. Management of habitat for shooting is crucial to the success of the estate and I am proud of all our efforts in helping to create this fantastic environment. To see the numbers of wading birds and the revival of grey partridge on the back of our work has been particularly satisfying.”

The qualification for the Cocker Spaniel Championship - by its very nature – is tough. Competitors have to gain a first place in

an Open Stake confined to Cocker Spaniels, this qualification to have been gained since last year’s Championship held at Dunira Estate in Perthshire. The task of finding the best Cockers in the country this year was in the capable hands of 4 experienced Kennel Club A Panel Judges – Jeremy Organ, Steve Wanstall, Graham West and Ben Randall.

From the word go, there was an abundance of game – pheasants, duck, woodcock, rabbits and snipe. Both days’ competition were held on the Tower Beat, prepared by Keepers Lloyd Holmes, Ben Stevens and Callum Coleman. By any standards, this was superb ground for the Championship. 45 Cockers – 30 bitches and 15 dogs – qualified for the Abbeystead Championship. This was the biggest entry in the history of the sport. On the day, there were 3 withdrawals so 42 took to the field. 18 entrants were Field Trial Champions. The entry was indicative perhaps of just how popular Cocker Spaniels have become in recent years.

Royalty was in evidence as well in the shape of Her Majesty the Queen’s Cocker bitch FT Ch Mallowdale Diamond, handled by Ian Openshaw. Diamond gained her Field Trial Champion title by winning the Kennel Club’s Open Cocker Stake in December. This year’s top sire in the Championship was FT Ch Dardnell Dealer. 5 of his progeny competed in the event.

On both days, the Championship was staged in ideal conditions – glorious blue skies and the cover, primarily rushes, suited these little dogs perfectly well. Every competitor got the same type of ground during their run. The Guns – Neil Kilgour, Steve Oz, Glyn Roberts, Antony Jones and Mick Dickinson – shot consistently well.

To say there was an endless supply of game would be an understatement. Every dog encountered game. And we could hear cock grouse calling in the hills above the trial ground.

Championship judge Jeremy Organ told me that the standard of Spaniel work was of the highest order. He said: “There are a number of factors I would like to mention. I loved the ground. I was really impressed with the supply of game and the overall organisation by the Kennel Club. Since I started judging in 1994, I have seen a massive improvement in the standard of dog work. Fifteen years ago you would not have seen the number of Cockers that we have today. The fact that we awarded 15 Diplomas of Merit tells you everything. All 15 Diplomas of Merit were category A dogs. The quality is getting better and better. The winning dog was absolute class. It was a classic case of minimal handling and the dog doing serious natural hunting. It was a unanimous decision by all 4 judges to award first prize to Dai Ormond’s Cocker bitch. I thought the Guns performed brilliantly.”

Championship judge Graham West, speaking at the prize giving ceremony before a huge crowd of spectators, said: “The word I would use to sum up this Championship at Abbeystead is quality. From start to finish this was an outstanding Championship.” The winning handler, Dai Ormond from Carmarthenshire, told me: “I’m over the moon. I’ve run in a few Championships over the years. I’ve come close before – but not at the top. It’s the greatest feeling in the world. It’s been a beautiful day!”

rt IGL Retriever Championship by Clare Wood

Peter Rushbrook kindly agreed to host the 2016 Championship at very short notice. 60 dogs had qualified with 54 dogs starting. Judges were Phil Allen, Robert Atkinson, Kevin Doughty and Billy Steel (who had also qualified his dog FTCh Broadlaw Fitz).

We moved off on foot from Great Livermere Hall to walk up on corn drill. Visibility was poor due to foggy conditions with either end of the line barely visible; it was cold and still. Birds were shot as we walked through a narrow block of maize and David Field with FT Ch Artistryn Ulrich picked the first retrieve of the Championship.

David Latham with Ragweeds Aston of Fendawood made a tricky retrieve behind the line in the maize look simple as he calmly followed forward judge Billy Steel’s mark to pick.

Leigh Jackson with FT Ch Arkglas Thor (one of five dogs running at this Championship sired by FT Ch Eastdale Harry) picked a bird shot in mustard some 60 yards off the end of the line behind another dog. He was then taken over to the right hand side to pick a bird shot 80 yards back in stubble that had not been found by the dogs at that end of the line.

The line carried on in mustard as the fog started to lift; dogs picked successfully and dogs were lost. Peter Goddard with FT Ch Carltonstar Toby picked a hen bird tucked up on the edge of a field by a wood which, unknown to both, then moved off into the bracken behind. FT Ch Carltonstar Toby showed his quality by locating the fall and taking a line to pick.

A mini drive produced birds shot in the belt of trees between the Long Water on the left and the bare drill of the field as well as in the wood straight ahead. David Logan, running in his first championship at the age of only 23, with Devonvale Shadow made a good start here smartly picking a bird in the far corner where the belt of trees met the wood opposite.

Two further flushes of birds were expertly shot by guns John Keegan, Tom Lowe (sharing a gun with Alex and Peter Lake), Peter Tydey, Nigel Reed, Charlie Rushbrook, Peter Rushbrook, Vic Vermeiren and Roger Wade. All are well known in the shooting and dog world; appreciated for their generosity in shooting at trials and some also for trialling dogs themselves.

After a brief stop for lunch, the walk up recommenced in the parkland of beautiful Ampton Hall which is owned by the Turner family.

Morton Redpath and Hassycott Whistlefish Fin prompted the first applause of the day from the spectators’ gallery, wiping the eye of three dogs tried on a bird seen to go forward and into a wood to the left of the line.

The line rounded the corner to enter a marshy area of tussocks, white grass, bull rushes, thistle and small shrubs. David Latham had a potentially difficult retrieve with his second qualified dog, FT Ch Beileys Aguzannis of Fendawood, when he was sent for a wounded bird which had gone on some distance before coming down behind the line into thick cover.

Thelma Blumenthal with FT Ch Abhaile Taite Bui, winner of the 2015 Irish Championship, made an excellent job of their second round retrieve, a mark across the line and over a brow where this first time handler at the Championship would not have been able to see her dog pick.

28 dogs were required by the judges for the second day. The mild weather and good visibility of the second day were a complete contrast to the previous day’s conditions. The line started off through a strip of maize and FT Ch Jarailstar Rocky Road of Blackhatch retrieved the first bird of the day shot on stubble the other side.

Birds continued to be shot as Alan Hammond calmly communicated by radio with his team who quietly, and seemingly effortlessly, produced birds. Billy Steel, in his judges’ speech at the end of the trial, sincerely and warmly thanked Alan, beat keepers Ricky and Richard and the team of stops and beaters for their hard work and patience.

FT Ch Beileys Aguzannis of Fendawood and FT Ch Asterix Aguzannis of Chatsworth showed off superior marking ability on birds which were shot across the long line into an area of tall fat hen where the dogs could only have seen the line of the fall.

FT Ch Miller McDuff made a stylish attempt on a partridge shot about 40 yards out from the middle of the line, FT Ch Jarailstar Rocky Road of Blackhatch was also tried but it was FT Ch Artistryn Ulrich, handled by David Field, who eventually picked this bird some 10 yards from the fall.

FT Ch Beileys Aguzannis of Fendawood picked what will be remembered as the outstanding retrieve of the Championship. A bird was shot some 40 yards in front of the left hand side of the line. Beileys hit the fall fast, touched scent and went off at full stretch to pick a further 150 yards ahead in the beet. Normally impassive when handling, David Latham’s smile as the dog returned with its retrieve said it all.

It was to prove an exciting third and final day of the Championship with 14 dogs taken through. The line set off with both the right and left hand dogs positioned on the right hand side to take best advantage of the game shot.

Devondale Shadow located a wounded pheasant shot some 60 yards in front of the line in tussocks, white grass and thistle behind two other dogs and then proceeded to show off his natural game finding ability by picking a bird across the left hand ditch behind the first dog tried.

FT Ch Windoogpack Coral looked worthy of her Champion status when she smartly picked a running pheasant from across the line and over the left hand ditch. But this dog, along with two others, were to be eye wiped by FT Ch Patanavac Brough on a pheasant shot behind into a thick area of tall thistle and white grass.

Six dogs were taken through to the run off, a duck drive on the Long Water. The remaining dogs picked a water retrieve some 60 yards across the Long Water and the judges declared the trial over.

Back at Great Livermere Hall, the IGL made sincere thanks to the sponsors, Peter Rushbrook and family, Alan Hammond and his team, the Turner family, guns, judges, and helpers.

rt Kennel Club Two Day Open Retriever Stake by Laura Hill

The Kennel Club Two Day Open Stake for AV Retrievers was held on Monday 31 October and Tuesday 1 November 2016, by kind permission of Sir Richard Parker, at the Blankney Estate, Lincolnshire. The judges were Ian Openshaw, John Halsted, Ronnie Gent and Laura Hill. Steward of the beat was Mr Terry Stothart.

We started the first day walking through a large field of mustard with birds flushing steadily for the able team of guns. After a shaky start where two dogs were lost trying for a bird that had flown into the wood, the morning’s sport flowed smoothly with some notable retrieves. Jayne Coley’s Waterford Integrity picked a strong runner, and Jon Bailey was called to the other end of the line to try for a bird on the edge of the mustard, which another dog had failed to locate. As we turned to walk the field back several birds were flushed providing dogs with longer memory marks out of the mustard and onto the stubble.

Walking back through the mustard, the dogs in line were asked to try for two runners, neither of which were located, and unfortunately resulted in us losing a further two dogs. We then went into a field of beet where retrieves on hares saw the demise of two more dogs.

After lunch, we moved to a different field of mustard which provided some challenging retrieves in high cover. We decided

not to cross-retrieve at this point, so as to give the handlers the best opportunity of being able to see their dogs working. Julia Smith’s Laborie Cirrus did two very smart marks at distance in this crop, before sadly going out on a bird down the line in the next round. This same bird also put paid to the only Golden Retriever running in the stake, Elyon Demeter, before being picked smartly by Sharon Kitson’s Arkglas Tash.

As we came to the end of this field, and the conclusion of the first day, Clare Baker’s Windoogpack Coral did a tidy retrieve as second dog up the line, and the remaining dogs in line picked birds that had been shot over a wall and into a stubble field.

Nine dogs were called for the second day, which took place in a field of mustard that had been topped. This enabled us to cross-retrieve and, with the slope of the ground, gave the dogs some challenging retrieves working out of sight of their handlers. Again there were two early casualties as Leigh Jackson’s dog didn’t manage to get to the fall of his bird, which was then picked cleanly by Steve Cullis’s FT CH Tagabea Danter. A similar fate befell Dawn Newitt, whose bitch handled well but never quite got to the area, and the bird was eventually picked by her husband Steve Newitt’s Diglake Charlie.

The morning continued with some good cross-line work by the remaining dogs, before the final retrieves consolidated the placings and the awards were decided as follows:

ReportReportCrufts Gamekeepers ClassThe Gamekeepers Classes took place on the Saturday of Crufts. The British Association for Shooting and Conservation Ltd. kindly organise and run the Gamekeepers ring. Throughout the day, a number of classes took place with winners then being invited to the main arena. On Saturday evening, the Gamekeepers then had their final which saw the winner from the Any Variety Pointer, Setter and HPR, INT Sh Ch/NL/ LUX/ BEL Sh Ch Friarsbelle Marsh Mellow owned by Mr B Dymond and handled by Miss N Cole. Judges for the competition were Miss A G Cooper, Mrs A Greeves and Mr R M MacNicol.

Judge Anne Greeves

When all one has ever judged has been Companion Dog Shows it came as quite a shock to be invited to judge the BASC Gamekeepers Ring at Crufts 2017. At the same time I was of course very pleased and very proud to following in the footsteps of my late husband John, an “A” Panel Retriever Field Trial Judge, who judged the same event in 2006.

I think it pertinent here to comment that when John started in Gundogs in the late 50’s early 60’s training and running the Ballyduff Labrador Retrievers for Dr Acheson those dogs were bred from the same lines that were doing well in the show scene. Latterly, with the Ballyduff line carried on by Dr Acheson’s daughter, Sheelin Cuthbert, John would train the dogs that were doing well at shows in order that they would achieve the Show Gundog Working Certificate enabling them to become Full Champions.

That being said John knew a “good looking dog” and through him I learnt to appreciate a good head, a stocky tail, rounded feet and the many other good points that one looks for in a well-balanced working Labrador. However, when one is faced with judging the Gamekeepers Rings absolutely anything can appear before you but having been the KC’s Field Trial Secretary for a number of years until 2010 and having contact with all the gundog groups was a great help.

I was very pleased to see the Curly Coated Retriever – one of our very early working Retrievers – so seldom seen on a shoot these days and of course the wonderful team of Liver Flatcoated Retrievers – another of our ancient working breeds. Combined with seeing everything from an Irish Water Spaniel and a Bracco Italiano to a German Shorthaired Pointer and a Welsh Springer

Spaniel it was a delight to see a number of young handlers who were also very well dressed and presented their dogs superbly. A great deal of pride in being part of the countryside scene was very evident – this is not easy to find these days. It was good to join with my two co-judges, Angie Cooper and Richard McNichol for the BASC Regional Working Gundog Team award – far from an easy task – a wonderful turnout of teams and we had to judge both dogs and handlers. The Team of Liver Flatcoated Retrievers handled by 3 well- dressed ladies won the day with the Irish Water Spaniel Team a close second.

I found that once I got into the Ring on Saturday morning and started judging with the excellent help and guidance from my Steward, Claire Wilson, one forgot about an audience and just got on with the job. However, going into the “Big Ring” in the evening to judge the final seven was another kettle of fish! An awful lot of KC eyes were on me wondering how I was going to perform. I initially had it in my mind to select the Curly Coated Retriever but on seeing all seven together that I had “put up” it was obvious that the GSP was truly the very best “all rounder” with the good sized and very strong Black & White English Springer Spaniel a very deserving second. The Curly Coated Retriever played his handler up a bit and was third.

Thank you so much to all the BASC staff who were so helpful and friendly and put me at my ease from the very beginning of Gundog Day. I came down to earth on Sunday helping on the Breed Rescue Stand – rather more relaxed than I was on Friday and Saturday!

Judge Richard MacNicol

Being asked by BASC to judge the working dogs in the Game keeping classes at Crufts was a great honour and experience.

Having never been in a show ring in my life this experience certainly took me out of my comfort zone! Judging Setter/ Pointer Field trials for over 30 years is very different. However, I was so well supported by the Stewards appointed to me.

I was impressed by the wide range of Gundogs that were presented for me to judge in the different groups, how well they represented their breeds. Judging the Team event with Anne Greeves and Gill Cooper was most enjoyable and the teams and their dogs were of a very high standard, the winning team of Liver Flatcoated Retrievers was thoroughly deserved. The whole Crufts experience for a person who had never been was exceptional and so enjoyable.

A small reminder to those sending these evaluation forms back that forms need to be completed within 30 days in order to be processed. You are also able to use the online judges evaluation form and this can be found through our website – www.thekennelclub.org.uk/jef.

SpanielsAt its February meeting, the Field Trials Committee discussed the recent win of a Clumber Spaniel in an Any Variety Novice Stake and the implications this had.

It was decided that the ESS stake would be renamed Open Any Variety Spaniel [Excluding Spaniel (Cocker)] Stake. This will allow minority breeds to compete against English Springer Spaniels and to gain a place in the Any Variety Spaniel [Excluding Spaniel (Cocker)] Championship. This change will come into effect from 1 July 2017.

LeviesThe Field Trials Committee also discussed the Championship levy paid by all societies that run Open Spaniel Stakes. The Committee accepted that in view of rising costs and the fact that the levy had not been increased for a number of years, it should be increased to £50 for the Cocker Spaniel Championship and £75 for the Any Variety Spaniel [Excluding Spaniel (Cocker)] Championship.

The difference in the levies reflects the fact that the Cocker Spaniel Championship takes place over two days whereas the Any Variety Spaniel [Excluding Spaniel (Cocker) Championship is a three day event. These changes in levies will take effect for the Championships held from 2018 onwards.

Gamekeepers Welfare Trust By Helen Benson

2017 marks the 25th Anniversary of the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust. At the beginning of the year on 4th and 5th January 2017 we were privileged to be invited to the Cocker Championships at Abbeystead Estate to complete the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust raffle which was launched in September 2016 and drawn by His Grace the Duke of Westminster after the winners of the Championship were announced on 5th January, Keith Mcloughlin of KM Dog Kennels and Trailer Systems donated a superb double kennel with all the accoutrements and along with Abbeystead Lowground Headkeeper, Tony Barrow, worked incredibly hard along with the Kennel Club and other enthusiasts all of whom we sincerely thank for a major effort which brought considerable success. The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust is extremely appreciative of a fully collaborative fundraiser which raised a total of £4800.00. This means we can help more people more effectively and we are truly grateful to all involved.

Working with the Kennel Club has been an enjoyable and enlightening experience, not least because I was unaware how much a dedicated team of people achieve in holding numerous events throughout the country, maintaining high standards for working dogs and providing a showcase for the hard work put in by working dog handlers everywhere. Gamekeepers and working dogs are inextricably linked and it is right and proper that the working dog trials are closely linked to working gamekeepers also.

I am delighted to report that these close links are now even stronger as GWT Trustee, Raymond Holt has taken up his post as Gamekeeper on Emblehope Estate in Northumberland for the Kennel Club.
