The text below is about Mrs Chua’s nightmare.

Questions 1 Read the text below. The first and last lines are correct. For the remaining lines, there is one grammatical error in each line.Write one word to correct the error in the space provided. An example has been given. The correct word must not change the meaning of the sentence. There are no spelling and punctuation errors in the text.

It was a dark and lonely night. Mrs Chua turned on her television.

There was a horror movie in. The show was about a princess who, at the

strike of twelve midnight, would turn into a monster. After some time,

Mrs Chua switched of the television and went to bed. The show was too

frightening for her. She slept fitfully as she dreaming of devils and

monsters. At one time, she dreamed a devil was actually chasing her.

She runs for her life. She screamed for help but no one came to her aid.

At that exactly time, she had come to a dead end. A brick wall was

blocking her one way to survival. She did not know what else to do but

to climbs over the high wall. After struggling for a while, she managed

to reach the top. She had hardly catching her breath when she turned

around

or saw that the devil was right behind her. He was just about to reach

her. In that moment of panic, she slipping and fell. She felt intense pain

and this woke her up. She hurriedly looked around her and realized that

her had fallen off her bed. She was relieved to find that it was only a bad

dream.
