The steps involved in producing an attractive sketch.

What is sketching ? Actually, sketching is a freehand drawing or is the

practice of drawing a rough draft version of a final piece of art or to get an idea

of how something look like . Whether you are sketching for fun or for an

assignment , learning the correct technique can make the practice much more

easier. So, the following are process to produce an attractive sketch .

First , you need to get the right materials. It is difficult to sketch when

using the wrong materials . You can easily find all the proper sketching materials

at the local arts store. Spend some moneys to gather up all the right materials ,

including art paper , H pencils , B pencils and putty eraser. Pencil is a very

important material for sketching .Different types pencil got their own function ,

such as H pencils are the hardest pencils ,and are used for sketching thin ,

straight , non-blend-able lines. B pencils are the softest pencils , and are used for

sketching smudged and blurry lines and for shading your sketch. So , please get

the right materials when sketching.

Secondly, you need to choose a subject for sketching . You can find an

image or an object you like to draw . Take a few minutes to study the subject

before start to sketch because there are a few things need you to pay

attention .The source of light , locating the primary source of light will determine

where you sketch the lightest and where you sketch the darkest . Besides,

movement of the subject , determining movement in your subject will determine

the shape or the direction you make your sketch strokes .In addition to this, is

the primary shapes of the subject because all subjects are made up of a

combination of the basic shapes. Look for the shapes of the subject and sketch

the shapes first.

Third , you can start to sketch already . Sometime , you can also

practice first before start sketching to warm up our hand . A sketch is intended to

the base or draft of an image .Therefore , when you start your sketch you should

use a light pencil ,a light hand and a lot of light , short ,quick strokes. This will

make it easier to erase mistakes and to test out different ways of drawing a

subject.

When we achieve the prefect shape , we can define our strokes more

precisely with darker pencil like 6B pencil . Furthermore , keep adding details and

adding inner shapes until you are satisfied that you have captured the prefect

representation . Make sure they are to scale , not too big or too small . When

finished using this pencil ,we will notice that the smudges on the pages since the

lead on this pencil is softer than the previous one. So, remove all the smudges

with the putty eraser. When you have completed your sketch, apply a fixative to

seal the image.

In conclusion ,sketching is very easy for everyone , just three simple

steps , identify the right materials , choose a subject and sketching .Sketching

also is an good activity to do for passing the time . For example, sketching when

you are nothing to do is better than playing computer game. Things won are

done ; joy’s soul lies in the doing .
