SUMMIT Engineering, Laboratory & Testing, P.C. (“SUMMIT”) was founded in the Charlotte-Metropolitan area by three experienced professionals, Douglas Curley, Andrew Coffey and Robert McDonnell, in 2004. SUMMIT has since diversified into a multi-dis-ciplinary consulting firm offering engineering and support services including full-service Environmental, Geotechnical, Subsurface Drilling, Special Inspections, Materials Testing, Forensic and Structural Engineering departments backed by a full-service NCDOT Tier III, AMRL, CCRL and AASHTO certified Laboratory.

Since SUMMIT’s founding, the company has experienced a consistent and steady expansion in all of our service sectors, capabilities, clientele and team members. With five office locations serving North and South Carolina, SUMMIT is poised for continued growth within our existing markets in addition to exploring new opportunities throughout the Carolinas. Our five offices are located in Charlotte (HQ) and Raleigh, North Carolina and Columbia, Greenville and Charleston, South Carolina.

Serving both the Public and Private sectors, our services are utilized on an extensive variety of projects within the Residential, Commercial, Transpor-tation, Multi-Family, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality, Industrial and Govern-ment sectors.

Since our founding in 2004, SUMMIT Engineering, Laboratory & Testing, P.C. has succeeded in creating a well qualified and full service engineering consulting firm to serve our diverse mixture of clientele. Through development of our extensive professional service capabilities, investment in advanced material testing, and by offering in-house seismic and geotechnical drilling, we have created a reputable, reliable and well respected consulting engineering firm.
