KEYSTONE – GENESIS OF THE NAME In Civil Engineering, Keystone is the wedge shaped stone piece

at the apex/top of the masonry arch - a form of architectural

element extensively used in ancient buildings, churches, forts,

palaces built with stones before the advent of modern concrete

and steel - to span an opening and bear the load of the roof and

structure above.

Keystone is the fi nal piece placed during construction and locks

all the stones into position, allowing the arch to bear the weight.

This makes the keystone very important structurally and it is the

supporting element for the entire arch or vault and without it the whole structure like Roman Coliseum

in Rome, Italy and Mughal forts and palaces would collapse.

Just as the Keystone holds it all together and provides an opening to a magnifi cent structure inside,

ENGINEERING – LATERAL ENTRYFor Diploma Holders and for B.Sc. Qualifi ed Candidates, Lateral entry is allowed DIRECTLY in the 2nd

year (3rd Semester). Candidate should have passed Diploma from an AICTE approved institution with

a minimum of 45% marks (40% Marks in case of SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates of Rajasthan state), or the

candidate should have Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with maths as a subject with minimum of 45% marks.

MBA - MASTERS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

Candidates applying for MBA programme at Keystone must: • Possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) of minimum of 3 years – BA, B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, BCA,

LLB, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS etc. • Minimum 50% overall Marks (45% Marks in case of SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates of Rajasthan state)

in bachelor’s degree.• Candidates with Master’s degree are also eligible for admission into MBA programs.

Computer engineering is a discipline that integrates several fi elds of electrical engineering and computer science required to develop computer hardware and

software. Usual tasks involving computer engineers include writing software and fi rmware for embedded microcontrollers, designing VLSI chips, designing

analog sensors, designing mixed signal circuit boards, and designing operating systems for computers. This fi eld of engineering not only focuses on how

computer systems themselves work, but also how they integrate into the larger framework.

There are two major specialities in computer engineering namely software and hardware. Computer software engineers develop, design, and test software.

They also design, construct, and maintain computer programs for companies while setting up networks such as “intranets” and indulging into new application

In a business context, the Information Technology Association of America has defi ned information technology as “the study, design, development, application,

Electrical and Electronic Engineering is an exciting and dynamic fi eld, that combines two of the most sought after engineering disciplines of 21st century India.

Electrical engineers are responsible for the generation, transfer and conversion of electrical power, while electronic engineers are concerned with the transfer of information using radio waves, the design of electronic circuits, the design of computer systems and the development of control systems such as aircraft autopilots.

There is a huge requirement of Electrical and Electronics engineers in government as well as private sector. All power stations, power generation and distributions companies require these professionals. MBA is a two year full-time post graduate programme at Keystone. This programme

aims to shape future managers and develop business architects who would not only

the MBA degree from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The First year consists

Hostel and Mess: Keystone Group has aesthetically built hostels and mess facilities for students and faculty members in the campus itself. There is a separate hostel for Boys and Girls including separate dining halls for them within the mess. All rooms are fully furnished and meant for twin-sharing, leading to a better quality of life on campus for our students. When it comes to dining and food, at Keystone we lay a special emphasis to ensure tasty and healthy dining options for all our students, faculty and staff . Transport Facility: Buses are routed to the surrounding cities connecting even the small villages. Institute Buses are operational in and about a 50Kms radius of the campus. Cafeteria: Keystone group has a huge cafeteria for students, faculties and visitors. It is a happening place for students where they unwind and breed new ideas. Medical Facilities: Keystone group has also provided for excellent medical facilities for necessary care of students and staff members.

FINANCIAL GUIDANCE AND SUPPORTEDUCATION LOANS: Keystone facilitates extended support for education loan applications and its documentation process to its students. All Nationalized Banks, Gramin Banks, Private banks and Lending Institutions have been disbursing education loans to students presently studying or applying for admissions at Keystone Group of Institutions. Being ‘AICTE Approved and Affi liated to State Govt. University’, our institute automatically qualifi es under the ‘Approved Institution Category’ for extending Education Loans by all banks and other regulatory authorities.

SC/ST/RESERVED CATEGORY SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS: Students who meet the ‘SC/ST/Reserved Category’ status as per Govt. norms and qualify for grants and scholarships under various state and national level schemes are eligible for fees re-imbursement/rebate through the concerned State Dept. of Social Welfare (Samaj Kalyan Vibhag) for their studies at Keystone Group of Institutions. Our students from all applicable states including Bihar, Haryana and Rajasthan have been regularly receiving scholarship and fees assistance & reimbursements.

RAGGING FREE ENVIRONMENT

Ragging, in any form, is banned at the Keystone campus. In compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, in SLP No. 24295 of 2006, dated 16th May, 2007 and in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009 dated 8th May, 2009 to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of RAGGING, the Keystone Group of Institutions has taken ALL the recommended steps to curb the menace of Ragging including but not limited to formation of Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC), Anti-Ragging Squad (ARS), appointment of professional counselors, mentoring cell, and submission of notarized affi davits from students, parents and staff members. A copy of the measures instituted, contact information of ARC and ARS, and copy of detailed SC guidelines is available on college’s website, notice boards, fi rst year faculty mentors, hostel wardens, registrar’s offi ce, and enclosed with the attached admission application form.

LIBRARY FACILITY....PAR EXCELLENCE

Our management team believes that a good library is of paramount importance to good education. Acknowledging this fact, KEYSTONE has housed its library in a separate wing on the ground fl oor covering an area of over 5000 sq. ft and stocked only quality books from both domestic and international publishers of repute like Tata McGraw hill and Pearson Publishing etc.

The Library has a membership of DELNET (Digital Network Library), which entitles the students an access to a large number of international research journals and E-books. The Library has centralised subscription to a number of e-journals, research journals, business magazines, periodicals, CDs etc. In addition the library off ers the Book - Bank facility for the students. Our aim is to make our Library a regional reference & information

centre for the benefi t of students, researchers, faculty and local community.

The management of Keystone Group is a fi rm believer in all round personality development of the students & instilling a sense of camaraderie amongst them that will hopefully stay with them through rest of their lives! Keystone has an extensive gymnasium, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including many full time physical training instructors. In addition to physical health benefi ts, teamwork is one of the most important skills that one needs to learn, and nowhere else is this easier to acquire than on the sports fi eld. Here, through sports activities, our students learn how each individual’s eff ort combined with that of their teammates, results in creation of a successful team!

KEYSTONE is also proud to have won a total of 18 medals with 3 Gold, 8 Silver and 2 Bronze in the 2012-13 inter-college state level sports competition held at Bikaner and 3 Gold, 2 Silver in Jaipur sports meet.

Additionally, the Institute regularly organizes Tree Plantation Drives, Quizzes, Debates, Group Discussions, Essay Writing and Poster Making competitions and encourages participation by way of recognition, incentives and awards. For the resident students there are popcorn and movie nights along with organized trips to locations in and outside of Rajasthan.
