    General Description

Thank you very much for your special patronage of LG air conditioners.

LGs "Ceiling Cassette" is a indoor unit which is installed for the significant purpose. The ceiling cassette is

used for the commercial purposes. It can be installed in various places such as restaurants, hotels, offices and

    meeting rooms.

This unit has nice outlook and is equipped with many special features. It has four louver for the air circulation in

all directions which in turn can maintain even and wide cooling. In other side it has facility for high elevation pip-

ing (30m), built in drain pump (drain throw 70cm),high ceiling operation, others for facilitating its working.

Noise level of the unit is very low.

In installation field unit is installed in fall ceiling. It has wide capacity range from 18 to 48 kBtu/h.

A lot of information regarding the design & installation of this system is provided in this publication. This new

products series contains data on the same pattern.

Please utilize all the information for conducting your business efficiently.

Make sure the specification, dimension or others technical data are same as provided in enginering data bookbefore you start the project.

We look forward to your continuing support.

    Energy Saving Gold Fin (Optional)

Heat Exchanger fins are coated with anticorrosive &

hydrophilic layers. It prevents the corrosion of heat

exchanger. Fins remain as new even after long time

of operation and maintains eff iciency of heat

exchanger constant. It also saves power & mainte-

    nanceCost.

    3.Features & Benefits

Central Control (Optional)It enables to control 16 x 8 = 128 units with the helpof 8 controllers. All units can be put on and off fromone central room. For setting the temperature, fanspeed and other sub functions, access the sespec-tureLCD wiredremotecontrollerofeachunit.

Cooling & Fan Operation(for cooling only)

LG Ceiling Cassette air conditioner provides cooling & fan operation. In the cooling mode, it cools the air withan operation range of 18~30C. In the fan operation mode, only indoor fan at the selected speed will run, out-doorfanandcompressorwill beoff.

    Wired Remote Control (Accessory)

It can control all the functions of the unit. You cancheck/set temperature, change operation mode, settimer & also diagnose the error of the unit. It alsohastheoptionofweeklyprogram.

    Auto Restart Operation

When there is electricity failure the unit shuts off and after resumption of the po wer, unit will start in the samemode as prior to the power failure. Memorized condition are on / off condition, operating mode (cooling/heat-ing), set temperature and fan speed. The unit will memorize the above conditions and start with same memo-rizedcondition.

    Two Thermistor Control (Accessory)

There may be a significant difference between the temperature taken at the installed product and indoor tem-perature. Two thermistor control provides option to control temperature by referring any of the two tempera-tures. With the help of the slide switch at the back of the LCD wired remote controller, selection of the desiredthermistor for controlling the unit can be done. One thermistor is in the Indoor unit & the other one is in theLCD wiredremote.

    1. Air conditioners should not be installed in areas where corrosive gases, such as acid or alkaline gas, are produced.

    2. Do not install the product where it could be exposed to sea wind (salty wind) directly. It can result corrosion

on the product. Corrosion, particularly on the condenser and evaporator fins, could cause product malfunc-

    tion or inefficient performance.

    3. If outdoor unit is installed close to the seaside, it should avoid direct exposure to the sea wind. Otherwise it

needs additional anticorrosion treatment on the heat exchanger.

    1. If you cant meet above guide line in the seaside installation, please contact LG Electronics for the additional anticorrosion treatment.

    2. Periodic ( more than once/year ) cleaning of the dust or salt particles stuck on the heat exchanger by using water.

15.3 Installation guide at the seaside

    15.3.1 Selecting the location(Outdoor Unit)

    1) If the outdoor unit is to be installed close to the seaside, direct exposure to the sea wind should be avoided.

Install the outdoor unit on the opposite side of the sea wind direction.

    2) In case, to install the outdoor unit on the seaside, set up a windbreak not to be exposed to the sea wind.

    3) Select a well-drained place.

    1. Form the piping according to its routing. Avoid bending

and bending back the same piping point more than three

times. (This will result in hardening the pipe.)2. Ater deorming the piping, align centers o the union

ftting o the indoor unit and the piping, and tighten them

    frmly with wrenches.

    3. Connect pipe to the service valve or ball valve which is

    located below the outdoor unit.

    4. Ater completing the piping connection, be sure to check

i there is gas leakage in indoor and outdoor connection.

Ater completing the piping connection, execute vacuum
