In order to be able to guarantee the highest premium quality for every single plank of engi-neered wood, the whole production process is continually subject to quality control proce-dures. These computer-aided inspection methods, together with extensive tests in our own quality laboratory and voluntary monitoring by independent institutes, ensure that the quality standards set by ourselves are fulfi lled over the long term.

As a natural living material, wood needs particularly careful handling in production: A defi ned drying process for the raw material and strict observance of the right temperature and humid-ity parameters during all subsequent steps ensures that every single plank holds its shape, even if it is laid on underfl oor heating.

During production in one of the most modern engineered wood factories in Europe, compu-ter-controlled profi ling machines guarantee the highest fi tting accuracy and perfect click-con-nections. This creates a uniform look and perfect transition from plank to plank. The surface is ideally protected from moisture and dirt penetrating, and looking after it is made considerably easier.

That is why Parador has set out its own ethi-cal policy, which is in harmony with the ecological, economical and socially acceptable princi-ples of sustainable forestry. That gives us the peace of mind to be able to offer you products, which without exception are in line with the principles of sustainable forest cultivation. We can therefore make a joint contribution to the sensible treatment of wood as a raw material and actively support the conservation of forests around the world.

In addition, all our products are continually tested by independent institutions for their envi-ronmental sustainability. And we also give something back to the environment. For example, at our engineered wood factory in Austria we are actively involved in generating renewable energy: all wood cuttings and chips are fed into the "district heat" infrastructure installation through biomass heating stations.

ProAir is the fi rst system for laminate and engineered wood fl ooring that clearly reducesunhealthy airborne substances indoors such as formaldehyde and unpleasant smells suchas tobacco smoke. The ProAir system is based on the organic protein, Protectin. Using aninnovative process, the active substance is applied to the fl oor at the factory. Protectin setsoff a physiochemical process, which ensures that harmful substances and emissions areabsorbed, broken down and neutralised - an active principle that was derived from nature.This process is permanently effective due to the almost inexhaustible absorption capacityof the ProAir system. This is confi rmed by extensive tests by the ECO Institute for theEnvironment. With Parador ProAir you can breathe freely for years to come.

Parador takes the issue of "healthy living" particularly to heart. Consequently only healthyliving materials are used for the production of all laminate products. This policy is supportedby independent harmful substance tests by the LGA Nuremberg, and the fact that all lami-nate fl oors have been awarded the "Der Blaue Engel" eco-label.

Award: PEFC accreditation. The "Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes" (PEFC) pursues the objective across country borders of improving forest use and management worldwide. Companies that are PEFC certified show commitment to the environment and a responsible approach with the indispensable raw material that is wood. PEFC thus guarantees overall sustainability.

These high quality underlays audibly reduce ambient noise, which is the noise refl ected from the fl oor and heard in the whole room, and con-sequently help to improve the whole acoustics of the room. You can equally reduce the impact noise in this way, which is transmitted to the rooms below when walking on the fl oor, and thus minimise noise disturbance. What is more, underlays compensate for slight uneven patches in the fl oor and provide the required moisture protection on mineral substrates. The fl oor is laid, now just one thing is missing: the perfect fi nish to the wall. For every en-gineered wood design - whether it is Trendtime or Classic - there are matching real wood veneered skirtings. Here you have a choice of a wide variety of profi les, from classical curves to straight modern lines. The real wood veneer on these end profi les helps them to match the fl oor perfectly. Only the solid wood skirtings are even closer to real wood - the highlight in our range of profi les and the ultimate fi nish for all wood lovers.

But also deliberate accentuation with skirtings in special colours, e.g. stainless steel look or in timeless white, offer excellent styling options and round off your individual interior design. The skirtings can be fastened using the extraordinarily practical clip technology or the traditional method with screws. For trimmed edges and corners you will fi nd a wide range of end caps plus interior and exterior corner pieces.

Whatever skirtings you choose, the easy-assembly, patented clip technology is particularly helpful. The skirtings are simply placed on clips and can easily be removed at any time. That is immensely practical when painting or wallpapering. And: the clips with a cable routing depth of 5 mm or 10 mm are ideally suited for covered cable installation.
