TRASPARENCY

New Looks

Today weʼd like to focus on our waistband backlabel, to fully explain to you the concepts that belong to it. A backlabel made with carefully selected 100% eco-sustainable materials, and with a simple and mea-ningful design. We decided to perforate it to express the concept of TRANSPARENCY at its best.

Transparency has been our hallmark since the beginning, and thanks to our tracking system customers have the opportunity to check, just by scanning a QRcode inside any item with a common smartphone, the whole production chain, in addition to the origin and composition of the related raw materials. Also itʼs important to stress that all garments are completely made in Italy, which ensures higher control over the production chain and especially working conditions.

We of haikure consider it essential to always give you all info about the items youʼre wearing. So youʼll enjoy a value added to the clothing you buy, something to enrich our everyday commitment towards our customers. This is our transparency, this is haikure.

BACKLABEL

We of haikure always care for nature and the well-being of people who wear our items, so we keep on searching for ever more natural materials, fabrics, fibers, like hemp for example. This isnʼt the only existing natural fiber, but, compared to the others, the only one featuring an impressive series of positi-ve qualities. The advantages of using hemp as a fabric fiber already start from its cultivation: no pesticides or herbi-cides are needed, which would pollute the environment and raise costs. Unlike hemp, growing certain fibers requires herbicides that will pollute and deplete the soil, until after a few years those fibers can no longer be grown on the same piece of land.Besides, hemp can do without topdressing, is an efficient photosynthetic converter of carbon dioxide into oxygen, improves the soil as its roots release nitrogen and take in any metals that will then concen-trate in the leaves, while the fiber remains free of those substances and can be utilized normally. The cultivation of hemp is self-compatible, this means it can be sown for several years with no risk of depleting the soil; cultivation areas can be small, because the plants are sown close to each other to favour their vertical growth.

Letʼs have a look at this material advantages, which we of haikure seek to always offer you exclusive fabrics to wear:- The fabric is soft and comfortable on oneʼs body;- Thanks to its hollow fiber, hemp fabric is fresh in summer and warm in winter.- It can absorb the bodyʼs humidity – keeping it dry – as well as body heat, which is dispersed outside.- It absorbs infrared and UVA rays up to 95%. Hemp garments act as a shield against radiations from electrostatic fields and cell phones.- Tear strength is 3 times higher than cotton; besides, hemp has the best wear-resistant properties among natural fibers.- Hemp is a live fiber, so a hemp item thatʼs been left in the open during the night will regenerate, losing the smells itʼs taken until then and recovering its tone as well as softness.

SUSTAINABLE PROCESSES

Eco-Aging

Eco-aging is the innovative new method that we of haikure have adopted to treat our garments: a vegeta-ble mix made of food waste, fit for producing the ʻusedʼ effect on fabric. So we get rid of the traditional ʻsandblastingʼ, a technique where fabric is blasted with sand. This solution results from creativity and inno-vation investments throughout our production chain. An insight that will bring about a revolution in denim abrasion techniques, as it ensures the best safety and health conditions for workers. In fact, this vegetable mix is eco-friendly, 100% biodegradable and has virtually zero environmental impact. As a new ʻagingʼ method for jeans, it replaces the much-contested sandblasting which is very harmful to workersʼ health.

Arte & Design

Today we of haikure wish to tell you about the author who has given us inspiration for our collection, the great Kandin-sky, one of the most famous artists in the world thanks to his original vision and way to use colors. In his writings Kandinsky explains his theories regarding the use of color, identifying the very strong link between a work of art and the spiritual dimension. Colors may have two possible effects on viewers: a ʻphysical effectʼ, superficial and based on momentary sensations, determined by the retinal registration of one color rather than another; a ʻpsy-chic effectʼ due to the spiritual vibration (produced by manʼs psychic power) through which the color reaches oneʼs soul. This can be direct or take place in association with the other senses.

These four main ʻsoundsʼ can be combined: warm-light, warm-dark, cold-light, cold-dark. Yellow is the point of reference for warm colors, blue for cold ones. Kandinsky attributes a double movement to the polarity between warmth and cold: a ʻhorizontalʼ and a ʻradiantʼ one. Yellow is endowed with a radiant movement which makes it advance towards the viewer from the position where it lies physically; besides it has an eccentric-centrifugal movement because it broadens outward, dazzles, repels. Blue comes with a horizontal movement that drives the viewer back and in addition is concentric-centripetal, as it winds round itself, so creating an immersion effect which draws the viewer.

The psychic effect of colors is determi-ned by their perceivable qualities: a color has a smell, taste, sound. So for example red will reawaken the emo-tion of pain in us, not owing to asso-ciation of ideas (red-blood-pain), but to its own characteristics, in particular its ʻinner soundʼ. Kandinsky describes this effect by means of a musical metaphor: the color is likened to a key, the eye to a hammer, the soul to a many-stringed piano.Colors can be warm or cold, light or dark.

Kandinsky, still according to his theory that color movement is a vibration which strikes the notes of inner life, describes colors based on the sensa-tions and emotions they raise in the viewer, and compares colors to musi-cal instruments. He considers primary colors (yellow, blue, red) and then secondary colors (orange, green, purple); each of the latter results from mixing two primary colors.A unique philosophy and passion, the same as we of haikure dedicate and work into each of our items, to let you be the real artists, yes, because wea-ring haikure gives you the touch of an exclusive work of art!

Food & Resturant

Locali & LocationRestaurant Ai Bozzi da Gio-vanni is in the heart of Traste-vere, one of Romeʼs most beautiful and original quar-ters. In a historical square of Rome, surrounded by monu-ments and churches, restau-rant Ai Bozzi is the ideal place for lunch break as well as a comfortable, relaxed dinner. Already from springti-me you can also sit outside. Its strong point is a food cultu-re that proves genuine both in the ingredients and the way to cook them.

Giovanni Ai Bozzi is a place where tourist cooking and menus are banned and the quality of products comes first, along with the best way to serve them. The menu includes a variety of meats, fish and both first and second courses are always at the top. Here they take care to satisfy even the most demanding palates, and are open to any critical comments or opinions to improve the service offered. They are at the customersʼ dispo-sal to recommend the wines most suitable for any chosen dish: red and white wines from all over Italy, because each has its own and unique characteristics.
