Eng. Hoda Dahroug Member of the Presidential Advisory Council for Community Development Head of the Central Department for Community Development – Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) National Project Director – Egypt ICT Trust fund (MCIT – UNDP) Over the course of more than twenty years Eng. Hoda assumed several leadership positions that contributed to harnessing ICTs to accelerate the Egyptian sustainable development by transforming successful projects into national strategic initiatives: especially for the marginalized segments, the most important of which are I) the Presidential Telemedicine Initiative to provide better health care services and enhance the quality of people’s lives through the telemedicine solution. And II) The National Qodwa.Tech Initiative that foster the ICT for socio-economic development of women and girls in areas of education, health and employability in order to enabling them to participate in the decision-making process and play effective role in developing their communities. Eng. Hoda’s management responsibilities included strategic planning and international cooperation of notable partnerships, where she succeeded in attracting investments of international organizations and promoting the concerted national efforts in the fields of literacy, education, health, women empowerment, youth employment and support entrepreneurship, and the integration of persons with disabilities as well as remote and marginalized communities inclusion. She also participated in many international and regional conferences, working papers and official speaker for the dissemination of best practices and deepening cooperation between the countries of the south, during the administration of the Egyptian Fund for Information and Communication Technology which won more than 24 international recognitions and awards, most recently the World Summit Award for the Information Society Prize Champion 2020 for Qodwa.Tech Initiative.
