    Fundamental Ideas ChallengePrize fund of US$250,000

    Invited fresh ideas that can provide transportable energystorage.

    Restricted to sizes with a range from mobile phone batteries tosystems that fit in multiple 60 foot containers.

    Proposals must be notably different from existing systems. Finalists will have the honour of presenting their idea before

    sponsors, investors, peers and a panel of independent judges. The winning proposal will be judged LIVE at the PitchLive London

    in November 2011 .

    To be held in London on 24 th October 2011 Part of PitchLive London will be a day on Energy Storage Presentations from a maximum of 8 finalists Finalists present their idea LIVEand with group face-to-face Q&A

    sessions Each finalist will be given feedback on their application Winner announced at the end of the day and receives US$250,000

    fund as prize. Open to the public , tickets can be purchased from 1 st June 2011

    Attendees expected be VCs and stakeholders in innovation fromindustry and government

    Prize fund of US$1,000,000 - to be confirmed Systems that can plausibly be implemented within 2-5 years

    Looking at grid connected community sized devices

    The prize fund will be awarded to a proposal that meets certainpre-defined criteria, including power management and life cycledesign.

    Finalists will present their prototypes at the Energy StorageChallenge Summit in September 2012.

    In the final year of Transportable Energy Storage entrants mustsubmit a system that is ready for demonstration

    The prize fund will be awarded to a proposal that meets certain pre-defined criteria.

    Finalists will compete against each other and the results will bepresented at the Energy Storage Challenge Summit in September

    2013-14 (Depending on the criteria and development time lines)
