It’s never too early to prepare yourself for a Zombie Apocalypse, so I have put together a fun DIY gift for my son that I know he’ll love. Unfortunately, it won’t actually help him fight off zombies, but for a kid loves zombies, this is a really fun gift to open up.

The main star of my kit is Energizer Headlights. The headlight provides a bright light and is totally hands-free because you wear it on your forehead. Let’s be honest, I’ve watched enough zombie movies to know that you don’t want to be holding a flashlight in your hands. My son loved the kit; and I’m officially a cool dad. He was most excited about the Energizer Headlight and The Zombie Survival Guide. He also thinks the red light on the headlight is “awesome” (which I didn’t realize it had when I bought it).

Energizer Headlights Great Tool Around the House!On a recent trip to my local Walmart, I came across these super-cool headlights. And, yes, they were in the camping section. But…I had other plans for them. Some things are very multi-purpose. You just have to think a bit ‘out-of-the-box’ sometimes.

A few weeks ago, I was elbow-deep in a plumbing project. And ALL plumbing projects turn out to be more complicated than they should be? Agree? First problem: you have to be super-skinny to fit underneath the sink. That’s not me. Second problem: you CANNOT see what you’re doing once you cram yourself in the small space.

The Energizer headlight is the PERFECT tool for the job. Strap it on your head. Turn it on. Position it so the light shines where you want it to. Bam! You’re in business.

Haciendo Reparaciones Nocturnas En El Hogar Con EnergizerNos a pasado incontables veces que necesitamos reparar algo antes del día siguiente, por eso Ulises y yo, nos dimos la tarea de ir de compras por algo que hiciera el trabajo mas fácil para el, a la hora de hacer sus reparaciones nocturnas, ya que con los pequeños yo no puedo estar ahí, todo el tiempo echándole la mano aunque quisiera, por esa razón le encanto la idea de comprar las Energizer HeadLighst las están padrisimas, no solo por el echo de que sean muy convenientes ya que son manos libres, si no también por que tienen hasta 28 horas de vida y su potencia es magnifica de verdad alumbran muy muy bien.

It has happened to us, that we have to repair something at night time, that’s why, Ulises and I went shopping for a new tool, that will be able to help him make night reparations easier for him. Are You Ready For an Emergency?

Last night, while we were getting ready to watch Oz The Great & Powerful on DVD, our power went out. Then it came back on but half powered. It was on for about 10 minutes and went out again. Apparently, the power was out from Santa Barbara all the way up the Central Coast to Atascadero. We had six kids in the house and the youngest was really scared. It was

just then that I realized we don’t have any 72 hour kits or flashlights or candles…but I did have headlights and a post due the next day on how to use them in our everyday lives. Who knew this would be the perfect opportunity to use them!

The Energizer Trailfinder LED Headlight includes an easy on/off button, a bright white LED, and an elastic head strap. We didn’t even need to put batteries in, but just had to pull the tag and the light came on.

Upcycled Copper Earrings With Energizer Work HeadlightsBefore I had kids, I used to make a new piece of jewelry every week. Now I sneak in my crafting time at night after the kids are in bed. Alas, I am older and my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be. Luckily, I had a chance to try out an Energizer bright headlight. You know, the one you wear on your head when you go camping? They have many more uses than just for camping!

When I spotted this copper bracelet over the weekend, I knew that the links would make a cool pair of earrings. I saw many different types of copper and brass jewelry at the art fair this weekend and felt inspired by copper. I gathered some other supplies from my stash (but you can definitely pilfer old jewelry for the same findings): earring hooks, eye pins, brass wire (not pictured), freshwater pearls, and glass beads.

I also discovered that the work headlight helps light my earrings for my photographs! My dining room doesn’t have great lighting. It’s very yellow, so this was a big help. Since I had so many extra bracelet links, I decided to make a matching necklace. I’m looking forward to wearing my new earrings! I’m pretty impressed with the Energizer night headlights.The light was a big help for me when I had to connect each component together. I was able to keep both my hands free and use my head to direct the light where I needed. I plan on buying one for each of the kids. Sophia loves to read in bed at night (she thinks I don’t know) but I’d rather get her a night headlight so she can use both hands to hold open her book.

Normally, our tools to catch sand crabs include a bucket, plastic beach shovel, and either a flashlight or cell phone (for light). This year, we were able to step up our game with an Energizer Headlight. These beam headlights are great for hands free action on

the go. When you walk the beach at night, you can find some pretty interesting things in the sand. The Energizer night headlight allowed me to have more light than a normal flashlight, and it gave me the ability to use both hands.

Box of LightTo further instill my love of adventure, I got some neat little beam headlights. I got the most powerful ones I could find from Energizer at Walmart – these things are 100 lumens so they can see up to 70 meters! They strap comfortably onto your head so you can have your hands free to do more important things. My hope is that when the time comes for the boys to have these (probably around seven to ten years) they will love going outside at night, looking at trees, listening for owls, chasing rabbits with the dogs and playing ‘coal miner.’ Sure they’re practical in a camping type way, but they’re also a lot of fun and enhance imaginative adventures. I mean, I was 23 when I ran around Yosemite in the middle of the night with my brother looking for bears (I did not say they lights made ME brighter, they just enhance the fun).

I remember growing up and helping my dad with all sorts of projects. One of my main jobs was to hold the flashlight. Try as I might, I could never get it in the right spot! Even now, when I ask Beth to hold the flashlight, it constantly turns into some sort of strain. Thankfully, this new work headlight is here to light my way with hands-free lighting exactly where I need it!

The main reason that I got these now is that I have some recessed lighting that has been giving me problems. It is in a dark corner of the house (especially when you turn off the power so that you can get at it) and using traditional flashlights just occupies your hands and throws up shadows that get obnoxious when you are trying to work.

Energizer Bright Headlights Light My WayWe recently made a trip to Walmart to purchase Energizer Headlights and Energizer batteries. I already knew and loved the Energizer bunny so I was excited to try these out! Well, then I got to thinking about the different uses for Energizer headlights, and they are definitely handy for much more than just camping! I actually ended up purchasing them for the intention of wearing them while I fix things around the house.

I love how easy the Energizer headlight is to use! It just straps right onto your head, you turn on the light, and you’re ready to use your hands freely! They are easy and functional and multi-useful! I always need a little extra light and both hands free while doing projects around the house and fixing nooks and crannies, and this work headlight is just the thing that I was missing. Check it out for yourself!

Energizer Bright Headlights Will Light My Way During the SummerOur small neighborhood rests on a big ole’ lake in central Florida and if you know anything about water here, you know the cardinal rule: Look before you leap, there WILL be alligators. We have always enjoyed heading to the dock and spotting the shiny little alligator eyes in the water. Using the headlight with its bright LED’s made this evening so much more enjoyable as we quickly found what we’d come for. Is it just me or are alligators one of those “so ugly they’re cute” creatures?

What I don’t enjoy is carrying the flashlight, doggie-doo bag, leash, cell phone and water bottle with only two hands. Let’s give our nifty little night headlight a job to do. We wrap the stretch band around our dog’s middle, tuck the doggie-doo bag under the band and head out. Our dog barely noticed that he’s now become this beacon in the night and is actually lighting our way.

My Life as the Energizer Bunny

Enter in the Energizer headlight. I love my bright headlights. I have used specialty ones for running but I didn’t have a general one for use around the house. It makes life easier, no doubt.

This is me behind my desktop computer switching out some USB cables. I have 987 cables back there (at least) and it is not easy to follow them. But it would be impossible without a good headlight.

Light Up the Night with Energizer Night HeadlightsWe recently set-up a fire pit area where we can BBQ and just “hang out” at night. Sometimes, if the fire runs low, we need to make a quick trip to the woodpile to gather more wood. Usually, it’s a rather slow “quick trip” because we have to navigate in almost total darkness. The solution – put on the Energizer night headlight and BAM! Instant light to shine the way AND you can still use both hands to stack up the wood for the fire.

The hands-free light that the Energizer night headlight provides can be used in even more ways – from lighting up the engine while working on the car or heading out to turn off the sprinklers in the middle of a rainstorm (flashlight, umbrella, and keys).

Energizer Beam HeadLights Before getting one I thought of several different situations where Energizer HeadLights could be put to task. First test: How could a headlight help with an engine problem late at night and far from home, or even near? Would it be useful when stranded in the dark? I found the Energizer HeadLights to be spot on. With the direction of the light beam being adjustable, I was able to have the light shine directly in my line of sight.

And both hands were free.

Another test was geared toward dealing with a flat tire situation. Using the flood light setting the Energizer HeadLights provided ample light in the darkened environment. There was enough light to help change a flat, if needed.

In the instance of a power outage, one of the first places to check would be the fuse box. In the dark I was able to open the combination lock, then open and inspect the trip switches. It would’ve been so much more difficult otherwise. And I thought I’d never have a use for headlights!

Night Time Fun With Energizer HeadlightsWe have been having a blast the past week with our new Energizer Headlights. I figured that the kids would like playing with it outside but I had no idea the games that they would come up with on their own. We have played hide and seek, night time scavenger hunts, climbing trees and last night my son looked for night crawlers and other bugs that you wouldn’t normally see in the day time. He was in Heaven!

I also bought an extra headlight for my husband for Father’s Day. One of our favorite activities to do together during the summer is night fishing. A headlight would make fishing so much easier; especially if you catch something because the hands are free.

The headlight is super comfortable and can be adjusted to fit on anyone’s head. There are four different modes on the light depending on how bright you want it to be. There is also a night vision feature which is great for night fishing or when you’re trying to be somewhat discreet.

After looking through all of the photos I took using the Energizer Headlight I came across the one pictured. My son thought this was the coolest thing ever and was convinced the headlight gave him some super hero power.

Extending the Critter Hunt

Thank goodness dinner hour arriving saved me and we headed back inside to eat and get into pajamas. Of course Kayla wanted more time to hunt for creatures as dusk hit. Which is when for the first time all afternoon I felt clever because I had picked up a little Energizer headlamp for Kayla, knowing that being a little Energizer Bunny herself, she would want to keep on going!

So we continued searching for a creature of interest. Kayla was totally excited about her “headband flashlight” and got up close and personal with lots of plants, looking all the way inside of the bushes with her new light source. I liked that her hands were free to pick things up and move leaves aside instead of holding a flashlight. Plus, when you’re 4, having a light strapped to your head, unicorn style is super cool!

5 Things Every Toolbox Should HaveLike an umbrella on a rainy day, you might not think about needing a work flashlight until it is too late. Many home repairs require you to climb in an attic, look under sinks, or crawl around in dark places. One option is to use a headlamp because it doesn’t take up much space in your toolbox and it is something you can use hands free. This makes a huge difference when working under the sink or climbing a ladder.

I purchased two Energizer beam headlights last week at Walmart. I gave one to my son who has been using it in the fort he built in the living room. I used a gallon jug to make a big light for my son’s fort.

A little tip: if you put a headlamp around a bottle of water, it makes an instant lantern.

Light My Way Nighttime Sewing Projects Being a mother of 2 young kiddos can make crafting/sewing time very limited– especially during the day. That being said, the only thing really left for me to do is nighttime sewing while the kiddos are fast asleep. With my crafting time being mainly at night, it can be really hard to do projects because the light in my craft room is terrible! I really need a bright headlight or something to solve this issue!

As always, Walmart came through! I found a big assortment of Energizer Headlights. It’s like Energizer made these just for me! I can just stick it on my head; turn it on, and wah-lah– instant, bright light!

And if you were wondering what project I made using my Energizer Headlight for the first time, here it is: burp cloths! Aren’t they cute?! Making these at night with my new headlight was a breeze.

Preschool Play: 4 Ideas Using Energizer Bright Headlights1- Hide & Seek in the Dark

Who doesn’t love a good game of hide & seek? We play with the kids all the time! Add a fun twist by playing in the dark, using Energizer bright headlights to light the way.

2- Glow in the Dark Egg or Scavenger Hunt

Place glow sticks inside plastic eggs and hide them around the house. You can do this inside with all the lights turned off or outside in the dark. Using the bright headlights, kids can have fun searching and finding eggs.

3- Playtime After the Sun Goes Down

It’s dark out!? That doesn’t mean playtime has to end. Pass out Energizer Bright Headlights and keep playing! Kids and kids-at-heart can continue playing, thanks to a lightweight, hands-free headlight.

Solving Mysteries and Creeping Neighbors I went out to Walmart and bought two Energizer Headlights - one for each of us. For me, I went with the “Bright Beam” Trailfinder, a powerful unit with 70 lumens of output, and a whopping 250 ft range. For the little one, the basic LED Headlight did the trick. At only 8 lumens, it’s not the brightest Headlight available, but for a kid it’s fantastic - and she loves it... for many reasons beyond hunting for lost toys.

As for this pesky Velma, let me give you a little background on her last two adventures...

The first time, Velma disappeared for nearly six weeks. We looked everywhere for her - and multiple times at that. When she finally surfaced, she was hanging out in a desolate nook of the couch - one that we only see when we take the cushions out for some deep-cleaning. She was back for only about a week before she took off again.

After playing outside in the front yard with my two girls and a few of the neighbor kids, we thought that Velma hitched a ride to stay at someone else’s house for awhile. In one of the most bizarre moments in recent memory, we returned home one day to find her sitting on our porch. How did she get there? We’d later find out that the next door neighbor was mowing his lawn when he spotted the young lady lounging in the grass. But this time?

Time to strap-on, light-up, and find out...

Our beams had managed to infiltrate our neighbor’s kitchen window - through their blinds (keep in mind, my Headlight has a 250ft range!) - and they were now peeking out at us. I sent them a text to let them know that the coast was clear, but switched over to spotlight mode for further searching.

One of my favorite uses of the Energizer beam headlights is in our storage areas. We have a nice small storage space underneath our stairs. But we don’t have a light in it. So often I am struggling to balance a flashlight and pick something out or put a new box in. It just doesn’t work well at all!
