This course provides the student with the confidence and skills to deliver a basic

relaxation massage. It introduces the student to basic study in anatomy and physiology,professional and clinical practice and provides the student with the knowledge andskills to apply fundamental massage techniques. Massage has been shown to positivelybenefit ones emotional, mental and social wellbeing. There are many types and methodsof massage which have therapeutic applications.

ClassesClasses are taught by experts who are highly

trained in their fields and who bring their own

clinical experience to help provide context to

therapeutic subjects.

Practical ClassesTo support learning, students attend practical

classes where they are expected to practice

interviewing techniques, examination and

treatment procedures on each other under

the supervision of qualified instructors. This is

conducted with respect for privacy, cultural and

religious differences.

Clinical ExperienceStudents gain significant clinical experience

at Endeavours Teaching Clinics under the

supervision of qualified practitioners. Our

busy clinics provide the opportunity to develop

and hone clinical skills in patient assessment

and management.

AssessmentsWhile some units of study require competency

based assessment which may comprise

quizzes, essays and tutorial participation.

Students enrolled in an online subject will sitassessments at the College where required.

including resorts, spas and gyms, providing

relaxation massage to clients.
