End Times

By Roy L Burger

Three Fallacies with Seven Year Tribulation

• The Word “After”• 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4• Revelation Chapters 5 - 19

Daniel Chapter 9

• 24 Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy

Daniel Chapter 9

• 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Daniel Chapter 9

• 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Daniel Chapter 9

• 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

• 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

• 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

• Philippians 2: 16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4:

• 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

• 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God

Rapture

• Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

• Revelation 3: 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

• Revelation 4: 1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will show thee things which must be hereafter.

• 2 And immediately I was in the spirit; and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

Revelation Chapter 5-19

Revelation Chapter 5 - 19

• Chapter 5 is about the Lamb Jesus• Chapter six covers the first six seals• Chapter seven is interlude• Chapter 8 covers the seventh seal and the first

four trumpets.• Chapter 9 – first and second woes, fifth and

sixth trumpet.

Revelation Chapter 5-19

Last 7 years of 490 year prophecyNo room to wiggle

Daniel 9:27

Needs to fit within 7 years

Revelation Chapter 5 - 19

• Revelation Chapter 5 – 19 has to fit within 7 years because it is part of a 490 prophecy.

• Revelation Chapters 5 – 19 has to fit within 3 and half years of peace and 3 and a half years of tribulation.

• Revelation 10 the angel, seven thunders and the little book

Revelation Chapter 5 - 19

• Revelation Chapters 11 – 13 mentions 3 and a half years 5 times. This comes out to 17 and half years.

• 17 and half years has to fit within 7 years, 3 and half years of peace and 3 and half years of tribulation

• Either the Prophecy of 490 years is not valid or The Seven Year Tribulation is not valid.

New Covenant

• Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

• Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

• 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons

New Covenant

• Matthew 15: • 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of

the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

• 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

• 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

New Covenant

• MATTHEW 10: 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

• 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

• Acts 11: 19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

• Pre-trib

• Post Trib

• Preterist

Med-Tribulation

• The mid-tribulation rapture proponent believes that the rapture will occur prior to the "great tribulation" which is the last three and a half years of the seven year tribulation period. This places three and a half years between the rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Preterist

• They believe God is done with Israel• They believe that the end times started with

the beginning of Jesus Ministry.• The Roman-Jewish wars that started with the

daily sacrifice abolished in 66 AD. was the start of the Great Tribulation.

Preterist

• The Great Tribulation ended at 70 AD with the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple.

• We have been in the 1000 year reign for the last 2000 years

• Jeremiah 31:

Jeremiah

• 35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

• 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

• 37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

Post-Tribulation

• Post-tribulation doctrine is the belief of a rapture of all believers following the Great Tribulation

• Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Post-Tribulation

• 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

• 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other
