• A 1. The encyclopedia is used for finding information about a specific topic under a letter in the alphabet.

• A 1. You can find information about numerous subjects such as people, places, plants, animals, and countless others.

A2. The volumes in a complete set differ from the different types of encyclopedias.

• A 1. Well you must know your alphabet. Then you choose the best possible letter in the alphabet that it would be found under.

• A 2. Once you chose the letter you use the guidewords that are located on the top corners of the pages to determine if the word(s) could be between the words.
